Her eyes moved painfully in their sockets as she watched the man move off to the other women. Closing them to try and relieve some of the burning pain within them, Rae’vyn collected herself again. Wiggle your big toe. Wiggle your big toe... Looking through painful eyes at her feet, Rae’vyn concentrated to the point where she could not hear the woman beside her. The bed creaked painfully under this woman’s weight and Rae’vyn’s voice snapped across to her, “Stop it, you will fall and kill your baby, concentrate on trying to move.” Rae’vyn once again collected herself, Wiggle your big toe.

Rae’vyn managed to have her head turn to the side and look at the woman, whose body had shifted rather close to the edge of the bed. Her brow knitted a little bit and Rae’vyn looked at her for a very long time. Turning away, Rae’vyn shook her head slightly. “How are my arms tied behind me? Are they attached to a ring in the wall, or on a hook? Or are they attached to a bed head?” Rae tried to twist her head around, finding it closer to impossible at this time. If the woman told her correctly, Rae might be able to fall off the bed and break whatever held the chains.
