"What? It's darkening already?" Lauke asked in surprise. A look outside confirmed that that was the case. "Amazing! Where does the time go? I guess that's what happens when you enjoy yourself!" he continued, laughing at his inability to keep track of time; it had seemed like only minutes ago that the day had begun. Oh well, such was life.
Another look at Cyy'cil's tired face brought Lauke back to reality once again. "Oh, but of course!" The human belatedly replied, helping his new housemate to his feet and guiding him to the bed in the corner. "This darkening, you have the bed, no arguments! And tomorrow, we'll head to the market to buy ourselves some supplies and perhaps another bed. You know, you couldn't have come at a better time; I've never realized until now how bad the place has become, but now..." he trailed off, understanding that too much new information would not be conducive to sleep. "...well, we'll do all that tomorrow."
Helping to remove Cyy'cil's boots, Lauke helped his housemate into bed so gently that if not for the slight age difference he might have been Cyy'cil's own father. "Rest easy, my friend. A new world awaits on the brightening," he said quietly, smiling. Lowering himself to the floor, he pulled out another pillow from beneath the bed and headed to the opposite corner of the house. Laying himself down on the floor, Lauke placed his head upon the pillow and prepared himself for sleep.
Didn't make any money, but I have a new friend. A good brightening, Lauke thought peacefully. His last drowsy thought before sleep claimed him was that he and Cyy'cil ought to smooth those rough floorboards...
OOC: I've got an idea for an adventure. I'll start up the thread as soon as you post your response here, okay?
