Mordeneb was a busy elf, but he very much wanted to attend the Merchant Faire and have a look around. This was less because he was interested in the wares of the merchants and more because he thought it would give him a chance to observe and "get a feel for" the citizens in the Imperial capitol, but nonetheless, it had been reasonably high on his list of priorities.
He did not bring either of his guards. Mordeneb recognized the necessity of having them around under many circumstances, but if the Merchant Faire wasn't well-enough guarded as it was, he didn't figure bringing his own bodyguards would make much difference.
As he began walking through the area, he noticed the brilliant blue tent that apparently housed the Crown Inn's festival presence. This would be quite a reasonable place to sit and observe things, Mordeneb thought, and so he ducked in. He glanced at the menu, a little disappointed that his normal spiced milk wasn't on it, but noted that there was enough there to keep him occupied for a candlemark or two anyway.
He quickly found an empty table for two and sat down at it, keeping a sharp eye out on his surroundings while he waited, in no hurry, for the wait staff -- or anyone else.

Mordeneb Ashcliff is now dead.
My thanks to everyone I've played with for the past three years.
