Kas Brightdelve is an upstanding Citizen
A Quiet Drink [Open]

Timestamp - 20th Optia, Summer, Era III of the Celestial Mandate, Era XII (pf)

It had been a couple of weeks since the Human man had arrived in Prime. Nothing much had changed, though he had been able to decide on a direction for his life, and to unwind a little. It was nice to sleep in a proper bed again, and to take regular baths. Apparently, that was something that Kas had sorely missed, the ability to take a bath whenever he wanted, rather than having to wait until he got to the next city. Booted footfalls took him down the private staircase that led from his room, the key hidden inside his pouch. Kas had taken the foresight to make sure he didn't carry all of his money with him, bringing just around a hundred crowns to tide him over for the night. He figured that would be more than enough for food and a drink. He was also lacking in weaponry and armour.

But then, he needed no weapons and armour. The man wore a simple, dark blue tunic and brown leather pants with a set of sturdy walking boots on his feet. All his weapons and defensive techniques were located in his mind. Kas was a Master Sorcerer of the old arcana and, while that meant he wasn't at full power until he relearnt, that meant he was fairly deadly without any weapons or armour. His booted feet carried him into the bar area of the Crown and over to an empty table. He selected one that would allow a reasonable amount of privacy, but wasn't located so much out of the way that he wouldn't be spotted. It was also reasonably well-lit, as Kas tended to dislike the dark. Human's were not a race that were supposed to dwell in the dark. That was his reasoning at any rate.

Once he was settled, the Human man waved a server over, offering a slight smile as he considered what to order from the menu. It didn't take long for him to decide. "I believe i'll start with the Crown Inn House Ale, thank you." The server wanderd off to get the ordered drink, leaving Kas alone with his thoughts for a few moments. He noted how the Crown seemed slightly quieter than it used to be, and wondered if this was partially due to the pox or for other reasons. The server returning with his ale shook the man from his thoughts, and he handed over two gold crowns to pay for it. "Keep the change." It wasn't a lot, but it was less coins for him to worry about. With a satisfied sigh, Kas took a swig from his ale, quietly watching the inhabitants of the tavern go about their business.
