Somewhere around the end of Immanis - beginning Ponutis
Era I of the Celestine Mandate
XIII Era PF, the Second Era of the Reign of Arabella
Paradigm: The Eclipse of the Sun
Two figures slowly approached the south-east gate of Silrosia. One was a female, the other male. The female was a Kemite human who looked to be roughly around 30s to 40s, perhaps older perhaps younger? It was hard to dissent because despite her appearance she moved with the fluency of a young woman. She was swathed in a long coat made out of a hide of some animal. Its brown thick and wooly fur looked comfortable to wear in the chillness of the winter’s air despite its questionable barbari-like fashion. From within the coat, two long katanas could be seen jutting out, strapped on the left side of the woman’s waist.
The male was a half elf, and a half elf that had more of his father’s physical characteristics just like the fellow half elf guarding the gate. The only difference was that the guard’s father was that of a human while his was that of an elf. He looked very young, a whelp who has not seen enough summers and neither did he seem fit. The poor lad was wheezing and panting heavily, bent over with his hands resting on his knees, sweat beads trickling down his face. For the sheer irony of it, he made it felt as if the brown coat he wore was so effective to keep out the cold or maybe winter was just not cold enough. The steps leading towards the gate had proved to be a little daunting; of course no doubt there was also the long walk he had just had from ....wherever the pair came from.
The woman on the other hand, was hardly panting at all despite the long walk and the climb up the stairs. In fact she was casually smoking a wooden pipe, downright ignoring the guard’s jibe as she handed out her visa with a bored look on her face. On the visa can be seen clearly her name, Shouten Hanamiki and other particulars. Still without a word, she proceeded to open her coat and reveal the two katanas.
Both the katanas were sheathed, of course. Interesting looking motifs decorated the scabbards, one green and the other blue. The green one seem to be wrapped around by a silver vine that covered only the bottom half. The blue had gold inscriptions in the form of logograms imbedded on it. One could muse that it was some Kemite writings.
"I jush got dish doo..", the woman spoke with the wooden pipe still between her teeth as she gestured at the katanas. Releasing the pipe from her mouth as well as a column of smoke, she continued in a lazy tone.
"Here to settle the score with one of your elfie lords. Don’t worry, it’s all diplomatic, no weapons..... I hope! Heh! Heh! And you! Wuss! Get on your feet and show this gentleman that little prick of yours!" She snapped at the half elf who was still struggling to get his breath.
"Huh.... huh.. ..Shut your mouth woman!" The half elf wheezed angrily as he straightened up and dragged himself towards the guard.
"Ignore ....huh ... that biatc...." The youth stopped mid sentence as he heard the woman cracked her knuckles. Without another word, he showed his visa to the guard and revealed a small dagger of poor quality and no aesthetic value tucked in his belt. Details on the visa included his name, Kenkuroi Morendil Mithania.
"Am here to accompany my ma", he shrugged as he waited for the guard to return his visa.
Assuming everything was alright, the pair would continue towards their destination; Moonwillow. A guide or escort or assistance wouldn’t be necessary. Having been to Moonwillow before, Hanamiki knew exactly how to get there, memories of her past visit still fresh in her mind after all those patterns. Maybe Silrosia has changed a bit but still, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out the location of the infamous gigantic rave tree shouldn't it?
