“So you’ve been there then?” Eren asked, right eyebrow raised speculatively as he eyed his childhood friend. He knew the business Nimavel was in, oh very much so, and had always been curious as to just how far it ranged when it came to handling… obstacles and their ilk.
Shrugging his shoulders, he let the silence brood between them. This was how he pictured Nimavel to be; quiet, nonjudgmental, and intrinsically motivated.
“Mmm… when the only forests you spend your time around harbor dead trees, poisonous air and bogs, and freakish hellacious offsets of your ancestors, Nim,” Erenthril winked, “you can imagine why I like to get out of the house, so to speak.”
He skipped over the Archmagery topic with a nod, though it did bring a question to the forefront of his mind, and tongue, inevitably.
“Did you ever Master…K’tesh, was it?”
Rubbing his temples slightly and offering a smile to the child in Nim’s arms, he glanced up as Nim mentioned how things had changed. Erenthril couldn’t imagine for the life of him that they had changed too much, not within such a short span of time. The place was filled to the brim with vile underhanded dealings, bribery, murder, theft, and… well, the Elf’s experience in such a place had not been too great.
“Changed? How so? I remember the Aedile there being a underhanded bribed crook.”
