The woman's remarks had stopped irritating him, he knew he wasn't a bad father, and arguing with this bitch was like arguing with a child. Like one of the children he'd seen plug their ears and scream there point.

But regardless, he was too comfortable to get up and leave, and although she was bad company she was at least someone to argue with until he had the energy to get up.
