Master Cullyn nodded to the rodenti.
"See that you do. I'm also assigning Rangers Mikells and Jauron to provide you with support. There is an elder human male gone missing with his entire sheep herd in the vicinity. I want you to keep a look out for him, and any other civilians that may need our protection. I've had men die in there before Shade. You'll be squad leader, but if things get hairy Mikells as been given authorization to supersede your command. That's all ranger. Now get to work."
Cullyn ignored Mineal as he left, collected his things then headed out to the arranged rendevous point in order to make contact with his team. Arriving through the thick underbrush of Lauryllian hospitality, the rodenti thought himself first at the fallen white oak. Appearing behind him, a lithe male Sylrosian Elf emerged from the shadows of the trunk in question. He had long, honey brown hair tied back while wearing green fatigues, complimented by dark forest green leather tights. His moccasins made barely a sound as the ranger stepped closer towards Mineal.
"Hail brother. I am Jauron, warden of Lauryl. Mineal, I've heard the name. Not much good it'll do you out here though."
The elf placed a longbow down before him, resting his weight on it's length. Jauron's voice turned serious.
"Mikells has been here. Markings on the tree, cooling of the ash and stool indicate less then one darkening. Something spooked her, and I don't like it."
The calm ranger threw his head back, indicating a westernly direction.
"Lets head out in pursuit. No way am I leaving that hot headed Vagaran to have all the fun without us. Besides, then I'll miss all the headache she had lined up for you..."
He paused, half serious.
"Unless of course, you've got a better idea.. because after all, you are in command..."
The direct path towards Magic Hollow was to the south, and the landscape to the west would take them through some difficult and rough terrain.
"That one can take care of herself, but it would only knock about half a brightening onto our approach to give me time enough to count four limbs and a stubborn red head. Besides, Audrey never lets up. Not even when it's in our.. or Her... best interests."
Looking down to the ground then at Mineal, the warden was expecting some input. Although without it, Jauron was quite ready to head off regardless. If Mineal wanted to show his authority, he would have to be firm.
