~ Archadoon's Sanctum and Orphanage ~
It had been constructed after the fires in the month of Optia, a handful of monks, druids, and priestesses coming together despite their difference to construct the stone Sanctum. It was not large by any means, nor was it small - some would say quaint but others still would turn their nose up at it nonetheless. At the sight of all the homeless children about, it had soon turned also into an Orphanage.
No set deity was worshiped here, walking through the large double doors colored light filtered in from stained glass windows, rosy hues warming the cold hardwood benches and stone structure. On the wall opposite to the entry doors several alters where constructed from simple stone and were aflame, casting their light onto the room. Each alter and set of tiered steps for a different God or Goddess.
To the left of these alters was a wide open archway leading to the left tower of the sanctum which consisted of three floors, on each floor there were 6 rooms, able to sleep two a piece. They were the rooms of the orphaned children, equipped with a bed and blankets, a chest, and a nightstand with a pitcher and washing bowl.
Alternately the right tower consisted of rooms fro the caretakers and founders of the Sanctum, as well as a classroom, on the lowest levels was the kitchen. Anyone in need could always come in for a meal, often they were simple and plain, but that never bothered hungry stomachs.
Off to one side was a hallway that led to a divided room. One was a washing room, the other a bathing room, and the last was guest rooms - where anyone seeking sanctuary could rest for the night and have a meal.
Behind the Sanctum was a sizable garden and chicken coop along with a pig pen. The owners of
Archadoon's Sanctum and Orphanage tried to keep themselves on their feet by themselves, it didn't always work, but it was a heartfelt notion that gave everyone something productive to do in their free time. The duck pond was often a delight to the smaller children who not only loved to chase the ducks, but try to catch the fish in the pond as well.
