Four cycles later, the castle received word that the furniture would be delivered the following brightening. This was good news as An'fel had personally overseen the cleaning of the manor house and guest homes. "Tomorrow, the furniture will be delivered. The furniture store will be handling the set up, but after it's delivered, we will need the linens properly distributed and the furniture dusted." The eight servants and maids he spoke to nodded, glad to finally see furniture in the houses.
The next brightening, the furniture came early. Three wagon loads arrived at the gate and the drawbridge was lowered to let them cross. The wagons rolled all the way through the castle and up to the houses. Then the laborers started to unload the furniture and carry it piece by piece to the appropriate house and appropriate room.
An'fel directed them with where each piece was to be placed and thanked them for their hard work as the house began to take more and more shape. The main sitting room was still vacant, but in time that would take shape. The delivery of this brightening was specifically for the beds, tables, chests and chairs for the rooms. An'fel was told that the next brightening's delivery would be the banquet table. It would be trying to move into the house An'fel was sure, but they would manage.
After most of the brightening, the men had finally finished carrying and constructing the furniture successfully. The beds came in pieces and had to be made, then their matresses and blankets were put upon them. Finally just before dark it was done and the ten men from Primus Gadeo started on their way home.
