Seth and Ajax walked stealthily across the side of the ruins, through the small breach before turning left and standing silently still as he scaled the height of the crumbled ruined wall the conflagration must have burnt and exposed. The ashy remains of the former city lurked dangerously astray in front of him, like a map unrolled and unraveled, plenty of opportunity lurking to claim the heads of the beasts whose bounties had been posted up in the Herald.
Though it was not to be.
Not right away, at least.
Looking down sharply at the sudden stir of movement and the two interlopers fast approaching, Seth’s hand wrapped the leather leash he was holding twice around his palm before telling Ajax to sit. The Allerian Hunter did so obediently, and Seth glanced down reprovingly at the two persons for a moment before considering the insipid question. “I’m lookin’ to claim some of the bounties on the wild beasts and the like hauntin’ the old part of your city,” he spoke, his hand digging into his pocket and removing a crumbled torn off roll of parchment. It was the article that had been posted in the Herald. He tossed it down to the men, hoping one of them would catch it and get a better idea what he was doing about this part of town.
If it could be called a town anymore, that is.
