Ashandra sloly made her way through the doors of the library, trying her hardest to keep the wide-eyed look out of her eyes. It was hard, however, as she stared around the huge building, overflowing with book after book.
The language of this land was strange to her -- when spoken. Reading it was another matter altogeather. While she perhaps would have some difficulty speaking with people as a whole, when reading she had a better grasp of the semantics of the language -- and perhaps by reading, her ability to communicate would improve, as well.
She walked aimlessly, reading the titles of books and articles at random as she walked. However, one caught her eye, and she found herself pausing, slowly sl iding the book from the shelf and finding a comfortable place to sit against the opposite bookshelf, making herself as comfortable as possible as she opened
