Winter -- Era II

Kalendryas
Winter, Era II of the Celestine Mandate
Era XIV Post Fractum
Twilight

"Feth!" The Captain screamed, as the winds howled and plummet, clinging onto his dear life as a large wave screamed and slammed full force onto the starboard, sending scurries of people sliding and floundering about on the very wet deck.

It was a bad idea to brave the storms, especially with the imminent Eunesian monsoon soon to be sweeping through Nesocratic Federation. Only thing he knew was that this isn't the Claw and Teeth, a mythical storm cloud that surrounds and moves around the Secyclionian seas, having been one of the few to have been trapped within that vicious supernatural storm and survived to tell the tale.

How long has it been since they had been stuck in this storm? As long as it lasts. The Captain supposed; as all around him, cargo ropes flayed about in the wind, the sails bearing two huge, garish wounds that screamed it's silent pain; like a bird with it's wings torn and ripped, then set upon the ground to die.

The raindrops pelted down, each drop striking and drumming like a finale to the song, crashing, pulsing like terse staccatos; like some damned up potential seeking ground.

Above, the storm seemed unending, ribbons of blue lightning snaking through the skies, tearing up the heavens, rumbling and churning like the belly of an angry beast.

"What in the name of the Haevens is that?! Give me that!" He screamed as he pulled the telescope from his Able, his eyes dimmed from the fat drops of rain that he swiped at impatiently.

His heart stopped, as he stole another look through the scope. He needed to be sure. Was he sure? Could one be sure about such things?

He dropped the telescope in mute shock, the object dropping on the wet deck and then with another tilt of the ship as the vessel superbly balanced itself after being swept by the crashing wave fell over deck soundlessly, drowned by the torrential showers.

"Captain!" The Able yelled, diving for the telescope, but missing, and almost falling over himself; if the Captain had not yanked onto his collar with his right hand, the left hand pulling onto the railing. There was a certain look on the man's face, something the Able had not seen for all five Eras of working on the ship.

It was the look of a man who was going home.

"It doesn't matter, none of it matters anymore."

"We've found paradise."

OOC:
Note that for the months of Winter, the monsoon season approaches, and it is going to be raining a lot in Secyclion; hence when making new threads, note the adverse weather change and reflect it etc etc.
