Galdor's efforts to make lyssoryl laugh were not in vain. Her laugh was rich and melodic, if a bit too staccato to be entirely pleasing. "And not a moment too soon! One more 'wait for it' and I should have swooned with hunger and you would have had to drag me to the cafeteria and ladel stew into my mouth! We halflings are not stoic where it comes to hunger."
The two walked down the stone corridors to the cafeteria, where they found an empty table, having beaten the dinner crowd by a thin margin.
"So, tell me all about yourself and what you've been doing at school. What college do you study, and how did you choose it? Notice I'm giving you a chance to get a word in edgewise, which when conversing with me must be considered a rare and valuable gift."
