Of course he could. More than most, Eirildan Andares was brave to venture into the Forest of Dreams. The dangers were everywhere, and normally the knowing didn't venture into the land of Dreams. The rumors were true. The vapors of the Three Sisters often coated the forest, draping everything in a drug far more powerful than any on the streets of Palanthas. But this day a stiff wind blew through the forest, keeping the mists at bay and making sure nothing would truly influence the unwary other than the hungry denizens that might be out and about. The most dangerous were the Talwaska, who hunted in packs and resembled dragons. The most unusual were the Raslin who looked to be horse bat hybrids... but neither of those were present in the woods this day.

This day, all was quiet as the forest silently mourned the passing of summer. Eirildan's walk took him deeper, far further than any would be wise to go. He happened on a game trail that lead both east and west... after approaching from the South. He could go either way... both looked about the same, and the trail pounded flat by the splayed feet of many deer. West lay more myth and legend... the clearings of The Three Sisters. To the east lay dense forest, shadowy and sheltering of those that lived within.
