So, I have been asked about the late history of Arakmat and it ended with me thinking about writing something actually. So here is a rough summary of what happened since four years or a little more. Tell me what you think.
Quote:
So, when Godah arrived to Arakmat (Era VI PF?), it was the capitol city of the Sultanate which is a province of the Empire where the Sultan acted as a governor. The Sultan at that time was the nairu Ihmotep Habib Qhen who was old and revered among the city population. The population at that time was dominated by its dorin-katta antagonism-yep, like dog & cat. Eventually skirmishes became a short spanned civil war between the katta and dorin.
Then came a period of uncertainty. A Grand Vizier-thane of Arkmat and personal adviser to the Sultan- was appointed in the person of Qheonor Lescartes. At that period a Xet raid ended in the death of the Sultan and of his entire harem. This lead to a period of mourning. A new Sultan ascended to the throne of Arakmat but the little difference is that he was dorin and not a member of the Al Hakkar dynasty. The new Sultan Doksh Ihmotep tried to reorganize the city and build new facilities but then something strange happened: an elven mage going by the infamous name of Aderyn summoned a magical hurricane-which is often capitalized- that nearly destroyed all fo the city apprently because he was insulted by a bartender.
This meant that Arakmat was nearly destroyed and in dire situation after the Hurricane. People were hopeless and they suffered and so they protested on the streets in mobs and that lead to a confrontation with Doksh Ihmotep who was apprently turning insane. He sent the Mujahedin against the mob and a confrontation with the local militia ended in the slaying of all the Mujahedin except for Godah and one kemite Toshi of Zinn who were both on a mission in the desert.
After the incident, Doksh Ihmotep was declared insane by General Khamul Noir-Est leader of the military. The city was declared under martial law and the General took control of it.
After a time, a new Grand Vizier (GV) was appointed along with a Pasha- a prefect-. Toshi was the GV while Godah was the Pasha. They both worked on constructing the city again. On another side, a search for a last member of the Al Hakkar dynasty started. Toshi suddenly disapeared during a travel to Ieffreon and thus Godah became acting GV. The heir to the throne of Arakmat apeared in the person of Sheik Rafiq Al Hakkar who was roaming the desert and was eventually found by one sea elf known by the most famous alias of Lliae the Witch with a frying pan.
Rafiq Al Hakkar ascended as new Sultan of Arakmat and the martial law was lifted. Godah became officially the Grand Vizier of Arakmat under the alias of Akhenaslan Al Hattar Pasha (translating to 'Who Serves Aslan from the Hattar tribe and who was a Prefect'). Things continued to move slowly.
Until the new Imperial Consul of the Western Realms, Countess Elle Trellian Kaldres Lothain decided to visit the city. Ah..did I mention that the mage who destroyed Arakmat went by the name of Aderyn Lothain ? . Yep, Elle was the wife of Aderyn . Anyway, when Elle met the Sultan it didn't go right and she decided to move the capitol to Imperia and strip the Sultan from his position of Governor. that ended with Godah protesting against the decision and being arrested for treason and jailed in Prime for an era.
A governor, Karo Sa'penthes (spelling?) was appointed and ruled from Imperia but things got soon hectic with the meteor rain on Imperia. It ended with the gov retiring with his staff (including Lt gov Calariel Gil'dae spelling?). Palacrisis Jones, former Imperial Consul to the Northern Shores, was appointed new governor of Arakmat and Godah was released from jail and permited to come back to Arakmat.
And here we come to present

I know, this version of history is a bit centered on what Godah saw. That is why I intend on making it an IC document wrote by Godah himself. Any input?
