[Amaranth]

"Yes?" Amadour asked as he heard his name spoken, his face brightening somewhat as he glanced up from his dampened robes... only to find that there was no one around him that was obviously speaking to him. Brow furrowing, the young man returned his attention southwards to continue fretting over his wet garment when his blue eyes landed upon the gnome. "Ah! There you are! Oui, I am Rousseau. Amadour Rousseau -- writer, actor, and expert on anything strange or questionable!" As the man introduced himself, he bent sharply at his waist in a low bow, his hand fluttering in front of his body in an exaggerated flourish. "And who might you be?"

The news that the Jaedaxian Aedile had sent the little gnome after him was met with a wide grin that immediately cracked across Amadour's face. "Francine? Oh... oh... darling Francine... one can only compare her eyes to stars and her coat... well, her coat to... the softest of clouds!" Giving a dramatic swoon, the young red-haired man fell into one of the stools lined up against the bar. "Information do you say? Well I am full of information and knowledge on any subject that could possibly ever be of interest to you." Lowering his voice, Amadour leaned towards the other, as though he wished to impart a great secret to the gnome. "My mother is very proud of me."

Without warning, the young man suddenly leapt up from his seat, his lanky limbs suddenly seeming too long for his body as he tried to regain his balance (having leapt a little too far to the right). "Ah, oui... bienvenue a mon vie. Welcome to my life, my friend. I am surrounded by the ignorant." As though to illustrate his statement, another patron threw a roll at the back of poor Rousseau's head... just in case he hadn't gotten the message the first go around.
