[Heartbreaker]

Rowan actually hadn’t known that she had been in Jaedaxia Underneath before…but it was obvious by the look on her face. The flash of recognition was obvious. However, her question led him to believe that she didn’t know much about the shadows of Jaedaxia’s underworld…literally.

“ Is there ever a winner? Even in conventional war? All sides suffered losses and I’m not sure that anyone will ever know the true extent of the damage done. Jaedaxia is a complicated place…more complicated then anyone can imagine. More mysterious then anyone can imagine as well. There are so many forces at play here that it sometimes even boggles -my- mind as to how everything manages to exist as well as it does.”

Grinning a bit, he turned to her and flushed just a bit.

“ Was that -too- vague or just enough vagueness to pique your curiosity more? I’m sorry. I’m just used to speaking to people that have a passing interests in the affairs of this city…not someone who actually cares. It is a different mindset. Most would be happy with what I just told you…but I have a feeling you won’t be.”

In fact, he was very certain that his explanation wouldn’t quench her curiosity at all.
