The Abestat Military Base-Brig/Stockade

After most people whom registered had found their way to the Stockade, a tall Saurid would be standing there at the door. He would look down to the new recruits and ask politely, against a Saurid's normal nature, "Papersssss pleassssse?" Once he had recieved them, he would look them over and then take the people down into the stockade to get them their uniforms and arms.

If this wasn't the case and the people were not going to the stockade, then most likely they were being taken to the brig. There would be an even large saurid, one that was almost 8 ft. tall standing there, looking very menacing. Most people that were there, looked like they were about to faint due to the large saurid's features. This was because this was where most of the treasonous people were held, and it was a rarity to get out passed this large Saurid guard.

As Vincent walked to the stockade, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a handful of seed. He had noticed the look shadow was giving to the Recruitment officer, he didn’t like it. That look usually meant the bird was hungry, so it was only fare to feed him otherwise he may get angry.
Vincent continued walking for only a little wile longer before he reached the stockade. Once there he gave his papers over to the attendant and waited for him to reply.

The Saurid looked towards Vincent, and then took the papers. He scanned them over and then said, "New recruit eh? Ha, we'll whip ya into ssssshape...What issss your weapon of choicssssse?" he asked, as he moved into the Stockade Room. He turned around, and waved his hand, motioning for Vincent to come forewards. "Here are the weaponssss that we have currently..." he said, pointing to the wall. There were a few short swords, a broadsword, some minor axes, a battle axe, a spear, a few miniture polearms, a crossbow, a longbow, and some other missile type weapons...

Vincent looked at the Saurid, then at the weapons. Finaly after a large amount of time had passed he spoke up. " I will take the Broadsword, I have always liked the feel of a good sword." Finishing his explanation Vincent waited to see what he had to do next.

"Alrighty then...Do you have your own, or do you need ussss to give you one?" he asked. He then took the papers, while awaiting Vincent to answer him, and quickly went back deeper into the stockade. He saw a uniform that might have been the correct size for Vincent if not the correct size. Slowly bringing it out, he still awaited the answer from Vincent as to whether he had his own weapon or not. He handed Vincent the uniform while he awaited an answer...

Lieutenant Monroe came by on his rounds. He saw the Saurid and Vincent, and marched over to them. "You two! Don't forget to go to the parade grounds after muster. . . it's mandatory for all personnel!"

He then waited for them to salute, returned it, nodded once at them and moved on, briskly marching on his way. Lt. Monroe was a busy man with a great deal of ground to cover, and he needed to do it all by the time the troops hit the mess hall.

Vincent indeed had his own Broadsword and he said as much to the Saurid. Then he noticed the uniform the saurid was holding, the pride Vincent felt when seeing it was almost to much to control. He was finally going to join an army, he was going to be someone.

These thoughts continued until the Lieutenant arrived. Vincent did not know how to react, lucky for him the Lieutenant only wanted to remind the staff about a mandatory exercise. Once the Lieutenant was finished Vincent gave him a salute and then turned to the saurid to see if there was anything else that had to be done.

The Saurid saluted as well, and then turned back towards Vincent. "I wassss looking on thesssse paperssss...it sssseemssss that you are being put in my ssssquad..." he said. This certaint raptorian was definitely not racist. As a matter of fact, he smiled to Vincent after the lieutenant left the two of them. "We better get going here...I ssssshall ssssign you up for bassssic broadssssword training...Letssss go to the parade groundssss now," he said. "Oh, and you can quickly change into your uniform back there..." He pointed into the back room, a small quiet place where Vincent could change into his uniform.

OOC: I don't know when Justice shall be puting up the parade ground post, but whenever he does, we shall switch to that thread.

OOC: Isn’t the post up now? Or is there supposed to be anther thread? I’m confused.

IC: Vincent went to where he was told, once there he changed quickly into his uniform. It felt good, The feeling of pride came back redoubled. While Vincent was changing, Shadow perched himself on the floor, to Vincent it seamed that the raven was quite upset for some reason. He quickly dismissed this as just speculation. Once Vincent was fully changed he picked the raven up and reported back to his Saurid commander. Giving the commander a full salute, he waited to see if he was ready to go.

OOC: Yes it is, I am sorry that I missed that.

IC: The saurid looked towards Vincent and noticed that he was in his full parade uniform. "Alrighty then, letssss go to the Parade Groundssss," he said. Then he let Vincent follow him as they both dissapeared towards the Parade grounds where they had to join up with the rest of the group. There were only a few people that were not going to the Parade grounds. That happened to be the little hobbit that quickly took the Saurid's place as the Stockade personnel...

Milo wandered the stockade hallways, searching for the officer to which he was supposed to give the papers to.

"Odd. Nobody here...", Milo thought, standing in the center of the desolate hallway.

Then it came to him. MILITARY PARADE! Of course! Everyone from the base was there!

"I guess I'll just wait a bit.", he mumbled, and found himself a seat. Grasping his papers firmly in his right hand, he dozed off for a while.

The hobbit that had replaced the Saurid guard saw Milo coming down towards the Stockade. He quickly made his way towards him and asked, "Hey, are you a new recruit?" He then awaited a response from Milo. If he was, then the hobbit would be almost overjoyed because it would mean that he would have another person in his command. Most of the hobbits happened to be in the scouter patrol...

"Wha'? OH YES! Yes, of course...", Milo said, jumped to his feet, and saluted the hobbit, "Private Milo Chubb, errrm... Here are my papers, I'm s'pposed to give them to someone here, and that'd be you, I reckon... Sir...".

Milo handed his papers to the hobbit officer, and awaited a reply.

As the little hobbit handed over his papers, the other one took a brief glance at them, and then shook Milo's hand. He quickly said, "Welcome to the Alpha Patrol! Lets get you situated with a few uniforms and such..." He then looked Milo over, and quickly went back into the room that had seemingly been turned into the armoury for the Abestatian Army. Smiling, he pulled out two uniforms. "Here is your field and parade uniform," he said. "My name is Sargeant Folnor, and i happen to be your commander..." He smiled, and then awaited a response from the new recruit...

"Do I get a weapon too?", he asked, smiling like an idiot, with a childish glow in his eyes.
