Soldier Forge (Military Weapons Training)

Opposite of the gates is an entrance to an underground structure within the base. It is fascinating really as it seems to be an entrance to a basement or even a mine. However, as you approach it it's anything , but those things. Indeed, as you approach the entrance on the base of the steel beams that make the way it says in metallic chiseled letters "Soldier Forge" under Soldier Forge lays the bold phrase "Where the real soldier is made."

AS you gaze inside there are sturdy lanterns strung through the whole passage way. You can hear the still echo of your feet hitting the oak and steel of the underground structure. It was easy to say the structure was very well supported. Getting closer to the heart of the structure you could hear the echos of sword fights, and men working out trying to mold there skills and bodies into fighting machines.

The undergrounds were no doubt a place of chills, and still wind which was almost musty. The light was never as bright as the suns, but sufficient enough for the tasks needed. Gazing about you see various tracks for running, free weight for strength, and separate rooms for weapons training. It was gym combined with weapons training it seemed everything needed was hear.

A tall human standing about 6'5 played with his dagger in boredom waiting for soldiers to start getting some training. Soon he sees your entrance, and puts away his dagger "Ahhh so I see you have found us...How can I help you?

As you hear his greeting you can also see a least of things taught:

1.) Most melee weapons of all skill levels.

2.) Hand to Hand combat (Unarmed & dagger/knife combat).

3.) Physical Conditioning (Ariumite Style).

ic: Serale, sir. I haven't had much weapon training since I got here...so long ago...I have seen a lot of battles in which luck has been on my side... For must of them at least...although for some I can show my scars. So before I risk my life again I wish to learn my trade.

It was a simple request that would take her a whole life time to full fill. If she went into all the training her body could do right now...maybe in her life time she would become what she wanted to be most. Yarrow wanted to be a guard. Not just a simple "street guard" who wastes his talents by watching the gates of a rich snob, but a traveler. She wanted to move about her world with a rich caravan who might need a good guard, but that would need what she didn't have right now, the skill and the knowledge.

The man nodded his head I now the feeling I was just like you in the start. I always hated that feeling of having not much to offer with luck saving me every time. However, thankfully I was trained, and was able to do something. I mean I know I was doing something, but it was only superficial. Not anymore though...." The soldier smiling "so what weapon you want to start learning in ? "

The soldier went to a table he had set up, and pulled out a roster sheet with many open and closed slots for a volley of different weapon training.

I was wishing for some training in the long sword, sir. I have a basic training in archery...so I decided to start with the sword. I don't think I will be able to use a bow and arrow in hand to hand combat...any time soon. She paused, taking in a deep breath and following his actions with her eyes. She didn't know if she should follow him or stay where she was. She shrugged it off.

The soldier startled in his chair when he saw the spot open Yarrow needed. He then had a sheepish smile "your instructor will be the outsider Lore. He is from the Arium provinces he knows his stuff thats for sure. Want me to put you down ?"

She paused and then nodded her head slowly. What did it matter who taught her as long as she was taught?Yes, please sir. That would be great. She told him solemly, without a hint of a smile. After all this wasn't a laughing matter...this was her future. That would be great. She repeated again, but this time a little lower.

Kellos opened the door, and quickly slid in, so as not to cause such a racket as he had at the sergeant's office. Mari squeezed right after him, and walked haughtily over to the warmest area opf the room, and proceeded to lay down and take his majesty's nap. Kellos looked about for the instructor, and found him in no time, as it is hard to miss such a giant of a man. He walked over to the man and bowed his head. "Serale, sir. I am Kellos Vastak, a new recruit in the compound, and was wondering if I could have some training" He slid his two weapons out of their sheathes, and lay them lightly out in his hands. "Prefferably in the longsword and wakizashi, if possible." He grinned, and held his longsword firmly in his hand. "I intend to become a great warrior" he muttered to himself. "This is the first step on the road to greatness."

The warrior smiled and nodded his head "Well met kellos. My name Is Crosis I am the administrator here. I am glade you wish to exceed and indeed become the great warrior you want. The god's know Abestat needs them." Crosis laughed and then continued "well you can learn those weapons no problem, but you will have to learn them separately. Also one at a time. I suggest starting with the long sword first, and then you will find learning the next sword will be fairly easier. You are in the military so you don't have to pay, but the more training you receive the longer it will add to your service here. We figure we make you lethal and cunning the least you can do is give us some good time of service." Crosis smiled as he awaited Kellos's Response...

Kellos grinned, and nodded at Crosis. "Then I shall start with the longsword, as you are no doubt more knowledgable in these things than I. As for extended service, you need not worry." as he said this, he extended his left hand, open the palm revealing the fresh cut across it. "I have sworn to protect the people of Abesat, and will do what I must to meet this demand. That being said, when shall we start?"

As Agaenos descended this underground facility, he has an odd feeling of entering some dark, conspirator's corner. It looked so much like a basement - until, of course, he saw he was entering the Soldier's Forge.

The tall man, six-foot and five inches, was spectacular to behold - here is one that is even taller than himself!

"Serale. I was wondering whether training for broadsword is available?

Crosis smiled "yea we teach that sword here, and I am glade really I get tired of the long sword. So can you start right away ?" Crosis pulled out his schedule, and looked for an instructor available. He then asked another question as he searched "can i see your military ID as well please?"

The sounds of training echoed through out the underground building. Many hours of hard work was spent here, and the atmosphere that had a hint of hardwork, honor, and respect.

There was a moist, cool, and musty feel in the building. However, with many men working out, and training it felt like a military training facility. Some veterans even spoke of their war stories as the took brakes. Indeed the soldiers training ground were soldeirs were forged into something that was actually dangerous on the battle field....

Smiling, he pulled out his Military ID. It spun in the air for a short moment, before landing in Agaenos' hand, which he nimbly flipped open. "Well, that was rare - I'm usually more clumsy..."

The noise here was all that of people training, grunting, shouting, metals clanging and clashing, and, for some, scolding - what for, he would not know, though it probably might have been some idiot accidentally chopping off an instructor's finger. The air, as he noticed, has a hint of hardworking, as well as being somewhat musty and moist - the smell of, of course, sweat!

"Yes - I could start right away." A hopeful tone seeped into his voice.
