AToI Kyli (Intiate Druidism)
The elf gave a blank stare at the missing tooth. Indeed most different from most ladies he has met. He shrugged "very well" The elf checked in a log book, and also a schedule book "we have one slot left for Druidism with Jaden our forighen advisor and trainer of druidism."
Before the elf could speak Jaden was behind Kyli with his falcon staring blankly at her "Hello Miss Kyli I will be delighted if you learn druidism, and I be your teacher. I told Abestat I would train two in Druidism you would fulfill part of my agreement."
The elf nodded and put down Kyli for druidism, and put it on her file. Jaden motioned for Kyli "come with me let us good to the forests." Jaden seemed like a simple man. He had a short Go-T,a nd short dark hair. A human with white and tanned skin. It seemed rough and well used in battle. He wore a moss like cloak. He wore an all black tunic and pants with high quality military boots wich were black themselves. Thus the only life that seemed to give his out fit color was his green moss cloak.
However, Jaden had a sincere and kind aura about him as he carried on. It often seemed he had the patience of a tree...

It didn't escape Kyli's notice that the registration elf seemed to be looking a bit at her mouth. At first she had been self conscious about her missing tooth, a battle scar in its own right, but now it hardly bothered her much any more. That was, except when people stared. Sure, like nobody has ever gotten their tooth knocked out before, she thought, a bit sullenly. I need to remember to see if someone proficient in Thaumaturgy can help me regrow it...or something.
There was only one slot left in Druidism training. Kyli was very thankful she had come when she did. Though she hadn't seen many people with magical training, none had ever been trained in Druidism, and she didn't know what to expect. Just then, someone was speaking behind her.
When Kyli turned around, even without him speaking it was obvious that he was trained in the Druidic arts. The air he had about him screamed nature and simplicity. Nothing he wore was gaudy in any way, which was, in its own way kind of refreshing for Kyli. At least she knew that he wasn't obsessed with material goods. He seemed kind enough, and in general, she was rather pleased at having him as a teacher.
Kyli nodded and followed Jaden as he led her towards the trees. It was the perfect setting to start a class about nature.

Jaden eventauly led Kyli to the forests and then soon sat ona log, and gazed about for a second ot so. He then looked at Kyli "So tell me what you know of nature? Why does it intrest you and why did you choose druidism?"
Jaden then waited patiently petting his falcon wondering what the response would be...

Soon they were surrounded by the trees and other greenery in the forest. Kyli inhaled, breathing in the scent that seemed to accompany any sort of plant. When so many were bunched together the scent was intoxicating. There was something about the sunlight breaking through the tops of the trees and the animals lazily going about their business that made one want to fall asleep in the peaceful grove. She didn't really have a lot of time to enjoy the beauties of nature doing her job. It seemed most things consisted of patrolling the streets. Something was always going on in the city. There wasn't enough time to go out into the forests outside the gates, so typically her free time was spent in one of the parks, which was the closest she could get to the soothing sounds of wildlife.
They sat on a fallen log in the middle of the sentient giants. She shifted slightly as the course bark scraped against her pants. Both sat in silence for a moment, basking in the noise of the forest. Then Jaden looked towards Kyli and asked her what she knew about nature and why she chose to study druidism.
For a moment, Kyli collected her thoughts and pondered his questions. When she was ready to answer, she began, "Well I know that nature is something that can not be harnessed or at least totally predicted. It's as wild as the things it creates. But it is as beautiful as anything can be, in its own way. I love the way that it's mysterious and the way it's...intoxicating. It's hard to explain in words. I haven't really tried my hand at growing anything, but I love animals. One of my companions is a black cat as well as horse. We get along quite well. I'd love to be able to communicate with them on some level, even if it isn't directly, you know? I suppose that's just one of the reasons I chose Druidism."
With her explanation done, Kyli tilted her head at the falcon at Jaden's shoulder. "May I ask its name?"

Jaden nodded and seemed mostly please with the answers. He then looked at his Falcon and it looked back at him "she asks your name my friend." He nodded like it spoke to him although nothing could be heard. He then smiled "his name is Shade...He use to be a scout bird for the military. However, he got treated like a war bird, and the life rough i am sure. I took responsibility for him now and treat him much better. I call him shade because in the shad e you can't see him, and he is not noisy like most birds. Also his feather being quite a rich black. hence Shade."
Jaden smirked and then warned Kyli "I will Unbind you now you may feel weird, but do not worry." He then touched Kyli on the shoulder and then let go. Soon the sky went full of colors. Kyli could feel herself going in and out, and rich auras surrounding living things became bright. Everything became emensly clear, and also sounds tingled the skin with chills running down her spine.
He r mind clearing in a sense being unbound to the cofounds that most people live by. She was unbound....

Kyli echoed the name of the falcon. "Shade," she said in a soft voice. "I think it suits him quite well. And at least we know he has a kind master now. He certainly seems happy enough." Tempted as she was to stroke the feathers of the bird, she resisted for fear of offending either the bird or Jaden, but she had never felt feathers that were on a living bird before, only the decorative ones on clothing and jewelry. She wondered if normal feathers were course or soft since individual ones didn't feel too soft unless they were the down.
She was warned, but before Kyli had time to brace herself for whatever "weird" felt like, Jaden touched her shoulder and a sort of jolt rippled through Kyli's body, shooting down her spine and giving her somewhat of a chill. Even though it was, as he had said, an odd feeling, it was somewhat pleasurable. Colors burst around her in a way she had never seen them before and things seemed more rich and full of life. She could not imagine never seeing and feeling like this before, and wondered how others could live in their ignorance of such things. It was a wonderful thing to be unbound, though she wasn't sure of what that meant exactly.
When Kyli was fully conscious of everything around her, she questioned Jaden, "What was that and how come I feel like this now? Will it last? What did it do to me?" Her mind was bubbling with many questions, but she didn't want to annoy her teacher with her first lesson.

Jaden smiled as he saw Kyli react to the change. He then patiently answered " it broke your limits upon this world I guess you can say. I release d your mind to what it was conformed to. YOu feel that way because your body is feeling the outer arcana energies. You have Vis which is inside you and Ara that is natural outside you."
Jaden then took a breath and continued "as far as affects they will go away in time. Do you have any more questions before we continue?

Nodding in acknowledgement of what Jaden was saying, though Kyli really didn't quite know what he was talking about. The words "Vis" and "Ara" were completely new to her vocabulary, but not wanting to risk sounding completely ignorant of the ways of magic, she kept silent, figuring later on she'd learn or catch on.
"No, I don't have any more questions at the time," she replied somewhat softer then usual. Louder, she continued, "Please, go on. What are we to do next?" For Kyli was eager to get on with the training. Everything was going at a fast pace and she wanted to keep up with the whirl that seemed to be going on around her. Now that she had started, she never wanted to stop and wondered when she would learn to do her first spell, and wondered what it would be. She was sure anything she learned would be useful.

Jaden then handed Kyli a plain cup made of a nice and shiny brass. He then motioned "first spell will be "create water." You know you may get stuck in the arkamatin deserts one day and may need it. Water for wounds maybe water an area to make someone slip. I think you get the idea the ability to create a bit of water is quite helpful."
Jaden then sat and explained "Now in us all is something called Vis. It is the energy that is in every one. If you calm your self and inter a state of Clara or meditation. Lets just say when you focus upon you Vis you will feel it if not in a weird way see it. That is what you need to connect to the outer natural energy called Ara. After the connection is made the Ara provide the channel to connect to the druidic plane. This is where you will draw the mana or the source of your magic to then create or cast the spell."
Jaden then explained further "Now if you use up all your Vis...you die. As a result when you feel it getting low you can just fill it and you get internally tired so to speak. When you reach that point just stop. Now use the steps explained to connect and create waters by manipulating particles, and nature so that it cretas a mist cloud and releases water...

Fingering the brass cup Kyli grasped in her hands, she rubbed one finger against its smooth surface while pursing her lips together as she listened to what Jaden was saying. Creating water out of thin air seemed like an impossible feat, and she could hardly believe this was a simple starting spell, though one that could definitely come in handy if needed.
The whole speech about Vis, Clara, and Ara was somewhat over Kyli's head, but she got the general idea of what it was she was supposed to be doing. It wasn't the easiest instructions she had ever been given, and certainly a challenge to understand, but she figured that it was something not easily put into words.
With a series of slow, deep breaths, Kyli closed her eyes, trying to concentrate, yet relax at the same time. Reaching out for her Vis, blindly hoping that she would find something there and nervous that she wouldn't. When and if she did so, she would try and connect with her Ara and draw some mana into herself to use to create water. The last step would be actually casting the spell and making the water. In her mind, Kyli imagined plucking mist particles out of the air around her and combining them all together in a concentrated pack to make the water. She could only hope she was doing everything correctly.

Jaden watched as Kyli focused and tried to cast her first spell. INdeed the first time is always very hard, and time consuming. After several hours she was able to feel something it was her VIs swirling about inside her. After some work she grasped dit and made the connections. Soon the particles and properties of water came together forming a mist cloud above the cup filling it with very pur, and refreshingly cold water...after all it was winter.
Jaden gave a big jump and clap for her. He was always excited to see the first spell casted correctly let alone just casted "Nice job Kyli enjoy that water you deserve a brake I know that the first few spells are quite hard." Jaden smiled and sat in patience letting Kyli have some self time or ask some questions before they moved on....

OOC: Since I'm moving to Vers it wouldn't go along with the whole FT thing if I continued here. I'm sorry I have to cut this short and you're a really awesome teacher. /me loves the whole fast reply thing. *hugs* Thanks for teaching me.
IC: Beaming as much from the exertion as well as the pride in accomplishing her first spell, Kyli gazed in uncertainty at the full cup in her hands, unsure of what she was seeing was real. Did I really do that? she questioned herself. Or is it just my imagination? It had not seemed like several hours, in fact, Kyli had been so absorbed in her own work it only seemed like it had taken a few minutes or so.
But nonetheless, no matter if Kyli believed it or not, the water was there, and Jaden claimed she had made it. He suggested that she take a little break, and she was glad for it. Thirstily, she gulped down the water until there was none left. Surprisingly, it tasted pure, and quite cold. It was rather refreshing, though she still felt a bit exerted.
Looking up in the sky, Kyli sighed slightly and looked back at her teacher. It had seemed like they had only just begun, but it was apparent her first spell had taken quite a bit out of the day and she was feeling rather hungry, even if she was no longer thirsty. With an apologetic smile, she said to Jaden, "My apologies, Jaden, but I don't think my stomach could withstand the time it takes to learn another spell. I'm sure you understand, and I really appreciate you teaching me this. Perhaps I can come back later and learn some more?"
