Sergeant Yarrow Woodruff, Block 3, Room 2 of the Sergeants Quarters.
Timestamp: Ioannes, Brightening 7 of the 2nd Cycle, Summer of Era I, In the Early Hours
Yarrow stirred from her new bed in the sergeant's quarters. It was a bed that was a little better then that of a corporal's, but maybe she was just imagining this. Her two animals were still asleep somewhere, but she could hear Bonsai snore. The dog could be very loud at times. She sighed and turned to another side and went back to sleep.

The room was meant for two people, but only she slept in it. Mostly it was like her old room minus Keeva. Two big beds, a writing desk, a window and two chairs. Yarrow had no decorations for her room because she owned none. She had been a soldier for so long that she had forgetten that it would be nice to have a real home. A Sergeant's Room was not a real home. It was a single room with nothing of interest in it. Boring and dull, but Yarrow still staid. She often wondered why....
She stirred. It was the early hours and there would be a lot to do today. There was always a lot to do in the military. Her eyes opened and for a moment she thought about sleeping in, but that wouldn't do. She rolled out of bed. She was very nude, but that didn't last for very long. She pulled on a clean uniform that was just a little wrinkled and she stretched. Wake up animals. She muttered tiredly. They didn't even open an eye to see what was going on...

With a sigh Yarrow woke the animals up the hard way. This proccess was...hard...to say the least. She had to rough up Bonsai until he woke up. This could be done by sitting down next to him and rubbing his head or doing a number of things that might wake him up. It sounded an easy feat, but it wasn't at all. He was good at ignoring her. So Yarrow sat down next to him and began to rub his sides to annoy him. He sighed heavily, but didn't budge. Why you lazy dog you! She cried, laughing. You are the laziest animal in the whole kingdom! She told him. Still the dog didn't move. She through up her hands, but hadn't given up on him yet...

You hungry boy? She asked the dog then. If he understood her, he didn't budge from his spot. With a sigh Yarrow finally gave up. He'd get up when he wanted to... Once she had given up, however, Bonsai glanced up to see why she had left his side. When he saw that she had finally given up on him, he stood. With his standing his tail began to wag furiously. You crazy dog! What am I to do with you then? She demanded. Bonsai barked back.

Well of course you are. You silly dog! You are always hungry. Yarrow bent with a sigh to take out some dog food. This was the last of it...Bonsai simply ate it up as quickly as possible. He'd eat anything, but that didn't mean it was good for him. A quick walk around all right? She told him, opening the door just aways so he could lead her outside. Once outside she let him do what he needed to do before going back to her room again. Bonsai was more then happy to go back to sleep. All right you lazy thing! I'll be back to check up on you then. She opened her window enough so Anne could go in and out as he pleased. The bird would come back. Yarrow looked around once more before deciding that there was nothing more she could do for her animals. Then she closed and locked her door.
ooc: Just jump in anytime...anyone...of course my character just left, but whenever....

Junctior, Brighting 2, 1st cycle in the Season of Autumn, of Era I of the Celestine Mandate Post Fractum in the Age of the Darkening, the Mageocracy of Julos the Mad
Yarrow trudged through the door. It was the same pattern she had taken to everynight. She undid her uniform and pulled on something a civilian would wear then tiridly she would bring Bonsai out for a walk and then bring him in. If the sparrow was in, she'd shut the window and if not, she'd leave it open. Then she would find herself so sleepy, she could do little else. So she would pull covers over her and fall asleep. This seems to be killing me Bonsai. Yarrow muttered tonight as she pulled of her armor with a sigh. Something makes me think I am needed else where. She thought sadly as her eyes closed... She was no longer being pulled home, not after finding out that everyone was gone... She was just thinking of leaving. It was just too... Yarrow fell asleep...

Yarrow? The voice sounded so...
Yarrow? It came again... Didn't she know that voice? Didn't she know who was talking to her?
Who are you? She demanded. Suddenly an elf appeared in front of her. She knew that crazy looking elf. Ucla! Yarrow exclaimed in complete surprise.
Hey there Yarrow. How are you now?
Fine, and how are you? How about the baby?
I had a girl...
A girl? How lovely! I am so glad for you.
Yarrow? Ucla looked around in confusion. Her face spun in every which way as if she was trying to find her frined. Yarrow called out, but...
In her sleep Yarrow moaned and turned on her side. Her lips opened and she yelled out a single word. It might make no sense to someone, if anyone was around. Maybe to a smart one, it would sound like a name.

Yarrow opened her eyes wide and drew in a deep breath. Her dreams seemed to real and yet...how could they be real? Ucla had a girl? It was possible, but she could have had a boy as well. Yarrow could be just imagining all of this. She could be making it all up, but some how she didn't believe any of that.
Yarrow looked to the window. The suns weren't even up yet. It must still be very early. Yarrow sighed and turned over. She closed her eyes and went back to sleep. This time, there were no dreams.

What a night! Yarrow muttered to herself. She glanced about her room and sighed. Sometime soon she would be getting her own house, she decided. The house would be nice and would have space enough for two, if that was needed. She rolled over and off her bed and found her self in a standing postion. Then she got ready for the day. She smoothed out her uniform and made sure all of her weapons were in place.

YARROW? Yarrow glanced around as she heard her name, but no one was about to say it. She wrinkled her nose in disgust. Maybe it came from outside... She thought to herself. Yarrow opened her door and peered outside. No one was about. Yarrow sighed and shook her head.
Probably just hearing things... She closed the door and looked about for anything she would need for the day. Nothing seemed to come to mind. Bonsai whinned from his sleeping area and looked up at her with his big eyes as if to say...
YARROW? WHERE ARE YOU? She heard the voice again and shook her head. It was the same voice she had just heard a moment ago. I'm right here. Where are you? She asked and started for the door again. It was at this time that Yarrow heard it. There was a laugh. It was no laugh she had ever heard before. It was an insane laugh that only the insane would use. Yarrow bit her lip and glared at the door. Was there an insane person waiting for her out there?
Who is there? Yarrow asked. She was getting a little worried and her voice said it all. Her hand went to her sword and her eyes sharpened on the door handle. YOU KNOW ME! Said the strange voice and Yarrow shook her head no because she felt that she did not know this strange insane woman. No I don't. She told the woman. She inched closer to the door, but it felt like she was moving further away instead of closer. I AM YOUR OWN FLESH AND BLOOD! YOU SHOULD KNOW ME! YOU SHOULD KNOW ME WELL MY FAIR CHILD!
Child? There was a pause and she took another step toward the door. She heard the insane laugh again. It echoed through her brain. I don't know you! Yarrow muttered. I don't know you! Her fingers were on the door handle. She slowly opened the door and found...

Nothing. The hallway was empty. There was no living soul. What else could she say? There was no one there. I am starting to hear things again. Yarrow shook her head. This was no good. No good at all. She sighed and closed the door on the empty hallway. One day real soom Bloom...we're going to get a house for ourselves. How do you like that boy? Bloom barked from his corner in response, but he didn't have to say more. He didn't know how to say more.
Have you seen our fethered friend about? A tweet came from the little sparrow. He had been hiding right in front of her. Well...another day as protector of Abestat. Wish me luck! Yarrow shook her head as the animals responded and opened her door. There was still no one about. Yarrow vanished down the empty hallway.
