The Quartermaster's Office
The Office of the Quartermaster was located almost immediately in front of the gates of the district, since it was the place that new recruits often went to first. The large, stone building looked as if it had been taken from a mountain side in one large piece and dumped straight into the base itself. The building of course, had to be large, since it was the supply warehouse for practically the entire pace, and it's interior stocked everything from socks to swords.
The one entrance to the warehouse, via the office of the Quartermaster, had been equipped with large, swinging oak doors that would wobble to and fro for a minute after being pushed from either direction. The two doors led into the office itself, which was tiny compared to the rest of the warehouse. Even so, the place was still stacked high with crates and barrels, newly arrived stock that still needed to be shifted into the warehouse itself.
Apart from the stock, the room had been left ultimately undecorated. No pictures were present on the walls, and all that adorned the floor were cold flagstones, practical, but not exactly pleasing to the eye. Only two pieces of furniture were present in the messy atmosphere of the office, one being a large desk, complete with paperwork that had been stacked up like a house of cards, and looked like it would fall down at any moment. The other piece was a simple chair, currently occupied by the quartermaster himself, a Lutran in a Sergeant's uniform.
The sleeves of the basic uniform that he wore had been rolled up to just below his elbows, possibly to prevent the material smudging the ink on the piece of parchment his quill was scratching along, leave a trail of black handwriting in it's wake. His thick, dark brown otter-like fur was visible where the sleeves were absent. He looked up, and blinked his eyes a little when he noticed another person present in the room.
"Serale. What can I do for you? Are you new, or do you need something replaced? Or is there something else you need?"
