Archadoon Imperial Naval Compound
The Archadoon Naval Compound in its prestige image is nestled in a secluded part of Port Libertas as a branch of the Archadoon Imperial Fleet. Up against the rocky shores of the bay, the compound looks over the waters with pride as several sailors walk by the gates of the compound. The gates are guarded all the time with two marines on gate duty and another guard in a tower built into the compound wall that surrounds it. The gates are made of brass bars that arch from the sides upwards. As one passes through the gate, a massive courtyard filled with gardens and plant life greets them. Several cobble stone paths lead from the main gate entrance, weaving through the gardens with great proficiency to many of the buildings located in the compound.
One path leads through the centre of the courtyard gardens, which forms into a stone bridge that crosses over a small creek and intersects a statue in the centre. The statue is that of the dwarven Admiral Gubur Ironside who is poised in a heroic position, as the statue has the right leg bent and perched up upon the side of cannon with his left hand up in the air giving the command to fire. Continuing down the centre path will lead one to the command building of the Navy where all the important decisions and tasks are carried out that make the navy what it is today. If venturing down the left path from the main gate, will lead one to the Naval Barracks. It actually has its own courtyard that is separate from the main one and in the middle is a white washed anchor hanging upon a stone mast. On either side of the barracks are training fields and a parade ground with white wooden bleachers lined up against the compound wall facing the barracks with the parade grounds in between them. The right cobblestone path from the main gates leads to the armoury where all the weapons, armour and other necessary equipment are kept. Right next door to the armour is the quartermaster where all the sailors receive their uniforms and supplies before training.
Several sailors and officers walk through the courtyard attending to their duties and assignments as the new sailors stroll down the paths. A few birds chirp in the trees around the statue as if worshiping it, as the water from the creek dribbles down and collects in a pool a ways down from the stone bridge. The compound itself is quite tranquil through the day and even more silent at night except for the local tavern on the compound called “Anchor’s Away”. Several shouts and loud chatter emanate from the single story stone building as the sailors relax from a hard days work.

The Naval Barracks
In and amongst the numerous offices and buildings that make up the Imperial Naval compound, the Naval Barracks stands tall and proud. The three-story building is quite massive in comparison to the other stone buildings that surround it. The building itself is made out of stone that looks like it had been built hundreds of patterns ago, but it has actually been built not long ago and is located on the west side of the Naval Compound in Port Libertas.
A big courtyard surrounds the front entrance of the barracks; several gardens in a circular pattern surround a statue of a white washed anchor mounted on a mast with stone sails sits in the midst of the beauty of the gardens. On either side of the barracks, training fields surround two sides of the building for weapons training and other exercises put out by the Archadoon Fifth Imperial Fleet. Around back of the barracks, the building has an entire ocean view, as it looks over Libertas Bay.
As one enters the barracks through the front entrance, there is a small hallway of about 15 feet. On the left hand and right hand side, there double doors, each with a staircase leading up to the second and third levels. At the end of the hallway another pair of double wooden doors open up into the actual sleeping quarters of the sailors. Rows upon rows of bunks occupy the open room that the double doors lead to. Each bunk is bolted to the floor and also comes with a chest with a lock on it for each sailor’s personal items and such. Several sailors was meandering about in the barracks, some are crowded around a table in the far right corner where they seem to be playing a card game of some sort. A loud uproar erupts from the table as it seems as though a small gnome sitting in a tall chair had just won and several comments of hate and annoyance were being expressed. The little gnome wrapped his arms around the pile of crowns and dragged them towards him, grinning deviously. A pantheri and a dwarf get up from the table with a disappointed luck and come up to the newcomer in the barracks. The pantheri talks to the new guy in a low and subtle voice.
“Hey, you’re the new guy right? A piece of advice before you get suckered in; that gnome over there, his name’s Tom. Don’t start gambling against him, he’ll take your money, then he’ll take your clothes and the rest of your stuff.” The dwarf walked by along with the pantheri over to their bunks and laid down to take a rest, after being defeated at the hands of “Tom”.
