Months had been spent by the half giant trying to maintain a low profile while he built up his case to provide the justicar. He'd spoken with Milo a few months back, and he was satisfied that all had gone well. Argo did not expect the Imperial Regent to aid him knowing his issue was small in comparison to the problems of the land; he was only wanting to convey that an issue existed so that if something were to happen to him, that it could not go unnoticed. That was the reason why he had gone to Diana to talk with the lieutenant governor as well.
During that time, he never let up on his practice of crafting armor and weapons. He'd found the creation of dracon armor to be quite fascinating because he had to learn how to develop and shape metal around their wings. While learning how to make dracon equipment, he also shared in his knowledge with the students the basic fundamentals of blacksmithing that he'd learned from the dwarves back in Zerdargia. Argo was a teacher at heart and enjoyed explaining and sharing what he knew. The dracons were a good people just like the other races he'd worked with in the past. They were a strong and proud race that constantly fought against racial beliefs from others, and Argo had found an ounce of respect in that. He'd fought racial anymosities both from humans due to his giant half, and from giants due to his human half. Only when he'd come full circle in his life to Archadoon and met with Felix did he find who he was from within and felt accepted for who he was on the outside.
Argo had thought the same thing of Aurelia whom he'd grown to love and cherish more as a sister than a cousin. When Felix had died, the two had grown really close, and it was Aurelia who had introduced him to the Governor to make him thane of Archadoon. It was this love that had him confused as to why she had him kidnapped and left for dead. He would only know how to grasp this confusion once he was able to confront her. She had taken away his baijani pride, and he would stop at nothing to get it back. How strange life was that the family of Arkdun had been started from the deception of family and now ended with the deception of family. The greatness of house Arkdun would always be remembered as a tragedy at best.
The knock on his door after working an entire brightening in the forges had caught him off guard. He went to answer the call and was immediately knocked to the ground. Before he could even begin to recover, darts had entered his skin and the chain of poison entered his blood stream. He knew right away that Aurelia was behind this but did not expect it to be from constables. He'd assumed she would have him assassinated not arrested. He already felt too weak to fight back. Knowing the importance of picking one's battles, he held his hands out to be bound and offered no resistance.
"I offer myself freely and with no retaliation." Argo moaned and held his head low. He could only imagine what charges he would be brought up on.
