Silverblade's Office (Verus Only)
Silverblade sat behind his desk, a quill in one hand and a stack of report forms in the other. When Verus entered his office, he had the recruit stand at attention while he scribbled, his eyes on the parchments in front of him. Finally, the Half Elf drill instructor raised his eyes and focused on Verus himself, beckoning to a chair in front of his desk. With his usual straight-forwardness, he got to business. “It has come to our attention, Recruit, that you may have had previous military experience. Why did you not inform us of this when you enlisted?”

Temujin had just left the bathhouse and was returning to the barracks when he was approached by a Lion and told that he was to go to Sergeant Silverblade's office. After getting some quick directions, the rhagrhnd found his way to the barracks long enough to change into his uniform before heading out to Silverblade's office.
Arriving in short time, he entered the Sergeant's office and stood at attention, waiting for the man to finish up what he was doing before taking the chair he was beckoned to. The question posed confused Temujin for a moment, why hadn't he told them about his previous military experience?
"Sorry, Sergeant. But I did. I informed the recruiter when I enlisted that I have served in the military before. I served in Nexus Prime's West Warden's for an era as a private, then I departed for a short time, and rejoined for a couple months at a later date and got to the rank of Drill Sergeant. A short time later, my beliefs conflicted with those of the Warden's and I left."
Temujin did not mention the fact that he had punched out a couple of the General's guards, and been beaten down by more then a few Warden's in return. That was where he had achieved the gap in his mouth where a tooth used to be.
Sitting straight, he watched Silverblade, wondering what effect his previous military background would have on his position within the Crimson Lions.

“Be advised, Recruit, you are not in trouble. Unfortunately, if you had spoken to our recruiter about your previous experience, the forms he had written the information on was misplaced. Therefore, I am under orders to get the info of your experience from you. Should your information check out, you will finish your advanced training with the rank of Sergeant instead of Private, and you will not have to do MOS training if you have completed the training before. Start from the beginning and give me all of your information… And leave nothing what so ever out.” Silverblade took his quill and dipped in in the ink pot, sliding a clean piece of parchment in front of him, before nodding to his recruit to continue.

Sitting in his chair, Temujin wondered what exactly Silverblade wanted to know. His training? What he was in the military? What he had done in the military? After a few moments, he decided to just tell the whole story.
"I enlisted in the West Warden's when I ventured away from my home in the mountains. I became infantry and got basic shortsword and shortbow training. After my initial training, I was assigned to a squad and patrolled the wilderness routinely. When I orc's destroyed Paxia, I was with the Warden's who went to try and save the city, admittedly, we failed. A little while after that, I resigned from my position and returned home. After a time I returned to Nexus Prime and re-enlisted with the Warden's. They were still trying to fill out their numbers after loosing so many in Paxia at that point, that I was made Drill Sergeant. After that, things were normal for a while, I ran routine patrols of the wilderness until I had a disagreement with the sentence passed down upon the orcs in Arium. So I resigned once more and began traveling. Not much more to tell, over time and experience I've become fairly skilled with the shortsword, and eventually I found my way here."
His story told, the rhaghrnd once more waited silently to see what Silverblade had to say.

“You resigned a second time? You had no disagreement with any of your fellow Wardens?” The DI was obviously trying to hold in his laughter as he finished writing out his paperwork and sealed it, tucking it away. “Your secrets are yours, and none of my business. As for your training, you will finish your advanced training and graduate with the rank of Sergeant. Should you desire to train as anything besides Infantry or Drill Instructor, you will, of course, be required to complete the training, but I see no problems for you. All right, recruit, you are dismissed. Return to your duties.” The DI stood, gave Verus a crisp salute, and sat back down, obviously busy with his own work.

What made him resign the second time was no so much a disagreement with his fellow Wardens, sure he had argued beliefs with the General, but he had been honored to be a Warden. No, his disagreement was with the sentence that the Warden's were bound to uphold. He might have been able to handle the situation better back then, but he was not sorry for what he had done.
Listening to Silverfang continue, Temujin was pleasantly surprised when the man told him he would finish advanced training with the rank of Sergeant. He had not expected to be given his former rank when he had joined the Lions, he had been ready and wiling to work his way up the food chain once more. But neither would he turn down this opportunity.
When dismissed, the rhaghrnd rose, saluted crisply. "Thank you, Sergeant." Then he turned on his heel and left the office, looking for the mess hall and a bite to eat.
