Cleaning up the Ruins (Open, Mod please)
TS: Second Cycle, Seventh Brightening of Optia. Era XIV PF.
Temujin had been one of the lucky ones. When the disaster had struck Archadoon, he had been at the Crimson Keep. Fortunately, he had only been banged up a little, rather then killed like so many of his comrades. In the brightenings that followed, it was chaos. The city was back to where it had started rebuilding from after the meteor's had struck it, not that the rhagrhnd knew what it had been like, he had simply heard the comparison among the citizens in the streets.
Amidst the chaos and confusion, Temujin was lost. He had no skills to offer in rebuilding the city or the Crimson Keep, but he did what he could. It was four brightenings after the disaster when he heard of a task he could do. Beasts had been found in the burned out part of the city, beasts that attacked the construction crews and guards and had killed them.
After asking around and coming up with a name, Colin Fianna, the rhaghrnd was off. Dressed in his rather dull brown tunic and trousers, he armed himself to the teeth with both shortswords, one on his right hip and the other protruding over his right shoulder, a knife in each boot and one at his left hip he felt he was ready for whatever lurked in the ruins. Picking up some quick directions to where he might find this Colin fellow, the rhaghrnd was off.

Finding Colin was easy… the huge Barbarian was directing some of his Warriors in bringing a few rioters into an abandoned house refit as the jail. The Chieftain turned to see who was walking up on him and looked Verus up from top to bottom. “I see you survived… That’s well an’ good,” the Barbarian said. He wiped a bit of soot from his face with a filthy hand and sighed. “It’s a bad day, sure an’ it is… What would a Crimson Lion be wanting from me this day, eh?”

Temujin found Colin rather easily, the huge man was kind of hard to miss. Walking up to him, the rhaghrnd watched the rioters being thrown in the makeshift prison and wondered what it was that drove the idiots to cause more chaos then was needed after the foolish gadgeteers blunders.
Putting that thought out of his mind for the time being, Temujin looked up at Colin from his rather shorter stature. "I heard you been looking for men to do some hunting in the ruins," he told the man. "Much more suited for that kind of work then the rebuilding part," he added truthfully.

“Ah, a Warrior,” said the large Barbarian. “We are, indeed, in need of good people. The ruins are that way, but I warn you now, the risks are great. Do you require anything before you go? Weapons, armor?” He gestured toward a small outpost, manned by Barbarians and Sapphire Guard soldiers. “Follow that path. The ruins are in there. Be warned, the opposition is wild and unpredicatable.”

When Colin asked if the rhaghrnd needed any weapons or armor, Temujin thought for a moment. He was fine for arms, and while he rarely wore armor, even while he had had some in the Warden's, he opted to find some this time. He knew not what was in the ruins, but he probably should be prepared.
"My thanks, I shall see you in a bit," the rhaghrnd said to Colin, bidding him farewell, then strode to the outpost the barbarian had pointed at. Soon enough he had a leather breastplate that fit place neatly over his tunic and he was off.
Drawing the sword from his hip, Temujin held it almost lazily as he walked down the path into the ruins. While the sword tip was near dragging across the ground, it would be up in a flash when the time came.
