The Cheesemonger’s Shop
In the heart of the Bay Area was a little renovated warehouse with a metal mouse peeking out of the doorjamb. This was a delightful cheese shop, all of the cheeses where made with locale cow, goat, and sheep’s milk, purchased from the farmers of the surrounding area. Of course, most of the factory was tucked away and out of sight for customers, but a display case housed some already made cheeses.
A mousy looking girl peeked out from behind the counter. “May I help you?” she would squeak. Soon, at hearing the doorbell chime, two Rodenti would wander from the back, little aprons tied around their necks and stomachs to assess the customers with a friendly smile.
“Go ahead, Kira,” one would prompt the Human girl. “You have learned your cheeses well, offer them a sample of what they seek.”
