Little Sprite (O'Brien mod)

[Konstantini]

Konstantini slowly walked through the forest looking for someone to ask where she was. The island definitely did not look like Ieffreon, she knew the capital had to be livelier and without so many trees. The girl was very tired and wanted to get some rest, but the trees did not seem to end soon, and no one was around to show her the way or at least to tell her, that it was save stay there for a night. The Sprite knew she had Caref's sword, but she also knew she had no skills how to use it... Even though it seemed to be kind of magic last time, she was not sure it will work again just like that.

Konstantini took a few more steps and set down under a tree. She got out her new golden bracelet and watched how it reflected the sun rays.

Soon Konstantini could figure out that wherever she was, there were not many people around - either that or many of them were asleep, which was unlikely during the daytime. The forest was very dense and only occasional beams of sunlight penetrated the thick canopy. For a while she remained sitting there, but that was probably for the best. She had just made a long flight from Primus Gaudeo, and her little wings were tired. Although...somehow she didn't feel all that tired...she seemed to be regaining her strength quicker than she expected. Perhaps Konstantini's ordeal in the dark depths of the Hidden City had made her stronger in some way.

Truthfully, Konstantini was lucky that she didn't remain sitting there overnight. Most Ariosans never ventured out into the forest without reason. They were almost always out there either to work for the Shensra Company or to hunt. Luckily, there was one citizen who, though she was doing neither of those, was walking through the woods slowly, most likely just out for a walk. She quickly saw the sprite off to her right and waved before slowly and calmly walking over.

When the woman arrived, Konstantini saw something she probably had not seen before. Standing before her was a Persettie Katta, about six feet tall and with a very appealing cream-colored fur, with very dark eyes instead of the green that race usually had. "Serrrale, frrriend," she greeted Konstantini in a very soothing voice, rolling her Rs like her race's ancestors, the cats. "I have not seen you arrrround town. Might you be new here? Oh, and I must comment on that bracelet you have. It looks very nice, miss." Perhaps to make Konstantini feel more comfortable talking with her, the Persettie crouched, bent her knees, and sat on her feet.

Konstantini looked up at the Katta. "Serale!" a new comer seemed to be friendly. "Oh, thank you", she smiled "This bracelet is really nice, even though it does not match my wings" Konstantini stood up, so they would be about the same level with the Katta. "I just flew up here from Primus Guadeo, it's in Centripax province. Oh... that's a long fly... What is the name of this place? I am sure it's not Ieffreon, is it?"

Politely and quietly, the Katta girl laughed. "No, this isn't Ieffreon," she replied, "it's still a bit north of here. If you've flown all the way from Centripax, you may want to rest here for a while before moving on to the capital. Well...at least I think it's the capital. I think Ieffreon is feuding with Olympia, I believe they both have potential governors and all...oh, I just can't keep track of it all. Anyway, dear, I think your bracelet goes just fine with your wings, dear. I do hope you'll stay for a bit. Would you like to come back to my house? Perhaps I could get you some tea or something." The Persettie seemed very kind and open to Konstantini...but then again, so had Caref.

"Oh, tea sounds great!" Konstantini smiled to the Persettie, "for some reason i don't feel that tired, after this fly, it's probably because of the sea and islands... you know this king of climate is probably energizing or something. So i would not mind to stay here for a while, it's seems to be so nice and quite here... I am not even sure if i wonna go to the capital. By the way my name is Konstantini," the Sprite looked right into the Katta's eyes, trying to figure out how sincere she was, "what's yours?"

Used to hearing such things about her home, the Persettie returned Konstantini's smile with a certain amount of feline charm that only a Katta could really ever hold. She really was a beautiful woman, though of course not in a human or elven sense. No, to non-Katta she would be beautiful in the way that a pet can be, nothing more. It was almost sad, really, that one's race could determine so much - but then again, there wasn't as much of a need for her to be attractive to non-Katta...no need to elaborate on that note.

At any rate, the Persettie didn't just stand there. She was quick to reply. "It rrreally is a wonderrful place, this Arios," she confirmed with an agreeing nod of her head. "This hasn't been prrroven, but everryone says that the magics that enchant the island help people to heal much quickerrr than on the mainland." She paused, contemplating whether or not to mention the Black Dome, finally opting not to do so.

The Katta stood up and beckoned for the sprite to follow her as she started on her way out of the woods."I wouldn't go on to Ieffreon if I was you either," she continued, "especially with that feud I mentioned. Arios is a charrrming little place, it really is. It's a pleasurre meeting you, Konstantini. My name is Esc'rrana Lhemith." Esc'rana led on until they were at the edge of town.

"My house is acrrross the main rrroad," she said, motioning to the large stone road that led from the Thanal Mansion down through the town, finally turning into a simple dirt path that led back out to the ferry and, thus, the unenchanted mainland.

Konstantini followed Esc'rana all the way to the house. On her way the Sprite was looking around her trying to remember were she went, so later she could find her way out. The Katta seemed to be really nice and Konstantini fully trusted her soft "purring" voice. "It is a cute little house, that you have," Konstantini smiled to Esc'rana. While walking through the island the Sprite started feeling herself very refreshed, probably it was because of that weird magic thing that the Katta was talking about. At this point, the Sprite tended to agree with Esc'rana and think about staying in Arios for a while. "I think I might stay here a little longer then I planned," Konstantini smiled, "I guess I am looking for a job... So, what do you do?"

I am glad to hearrrr that. You will found out that this city is very beautiful. Maybe not in firrrrsth sight but when you get to know it…it is totally different story.

They came to Esc'rrana’ s house. It was a nice little house made of wood. Nothing special but Esc'rrana liked simple things. The interior was warm and tender. The house had three rooms, bedroom, kitchen and room for guests. Esc'rrana entreated first and called Konstantin in: “Please come in, and make yourself comfortable. I will make us a tea.” While the Esc'rrana was in the kitchen Konstantini set down and looked around. She saw that Esc'rrana had all kind of plants sorted by alphabetical names in big boxes in the corner of the room. All plants had some weird names and some of them Konstantine could not even pronounce.

After a couple minutes Esc'rrana come back with tea and set down."I must say that I am creaturrre of the nature. I love being in the woods and strrrrolling around. It gives me great pleasssssure. Over the time my hobby of collecting plants become my “job”. I learned that lots of plants have some extraorrrrdinary effects on peoples, some good and some bad. I learned how to use both of them, good side and bad side. So you can say that I am herbalist and I am healing peoples who gets wounded or workerrrrs from Sensra Lumber Company who gets injured in the woods. I can heal light and moderate wounds.
You would like a job in town. If you tell me yours wishes and preferences I might be able to help you. I know lots of peoples and some of them own me a favor or two. "
