Remy returned to Sal's store and training facility the next morning. He had apparently arrived right on time because Sal was waiting for him. "Serale to you, are you ready to get started?" Remy nodded and was handed the one handed crossbow once more. "Yes I am monsieur." They went into his shop which, in the back had some sort of training facility. Remy wasn't sure because he had yet to spend some time in the place and feel his way around.

"I will get you some bolts," Sal said, and a few moments later he brought forth was sounded like a large basket full of them. Remy grinned in the excitement of learning something new. He had been hard pressed to find anyone willing to train a blind man. Sal was a decent person, that much was for certain.

"Alright Remy," Sal said pointing the blind human in the correction, "This thing is pritty simple, you've got your bow, notch, trigger, and handle." As he said these things he moved Remies hand to touch each thing, at the bow it gave a little to show flexability. "With a weapon like this you use bolts, small arrows, to launch 30, maybe 40 feet. You place the forked end of the bolt on the notch, there is a guide groove that you can rely on to make sure that it is strait and in it fully. Once you've notched the bolt you pull it back until you hear it click, at that point it's cocked and ready for use. Then you simply pull the trigger and you'll release the bolt with a twang." Sal then guided Remy's hand around towards the targets set up in the courtyard. "Fire when your ready and able," Sal said optimisticly but with doubt in his voice, he made sure that he was behind the blind archer and even then he wore a thin brest plate under his armor, "I'll tell you whare the bolt went and you correct it from there."

Remy felt the bow, notch, and trigger as Sal guided his hands over the weapon. He was relieved to feel a guide groove and knew that in time he would be able to load this weapon as fast as anyone who could see it. He let Sal direct his first shot, but didn't wait long before launching the bolt. Afterall, it would give him a better "view" of the area. He smiled and spoke to Sal just before firing..."Very well, and indeed I will correct it."

Unfortunately for Remy, the shop was very quiet that morning, and with a lack of sound came a lack of vision. He hoped such training would only make him better, since in battle, vision was something all of his senses allowed. The striking of weapons and armor created vast virbrations, as well as stomping feet on the ground and the intense beating of hearts. All of these painted an intricate picture for him.

He finally squeezed the trigger and let the bolt fly. Gazing on with blind eyes, the bolt's whisp through the air lit up the room in front of him, allowing for him to see three targets about thirty feet from him. behind each target was a wooden wall and each of the three targets stood approximately three feet from eachother.

The bolt flew wide, to the left and high, and struck the wooden wall, a dull thud could be heard and for Remy it could be seen whare it hit. "Alright Remy, now you need to adjust it, move down and too the right about 2 inches both ways," Sal instructed. He wasnt sure how he was going to teach the blind man how to aim a weapon that he couldnt even see, let alone the target of the weapon. "Now to aim your hand bow, you need to look down the shaft of the arrow, with your arm stretched out strait infront of you or strait out from you. Now to hit a target that is further away you need to arch the shot some by pointing the tip of the weapon up some. The maximum angle for distance is about 45 degree's," Sal explained this as Remy got ready for his second shot.

Remy could tell how far away the targets were now and what he needed to do. As he listened to Sal intently, he moved his arm straight out in front of him just as the bow master had ordered. He took note of the 45 degreen angle comment, as he would need it if he ever needed to shoot something at a greater distance. For now, he aimed straight at the targets even as they fainted out of his sight. He lowered the bow and reloaded it as Sal had told him. His fingers found the guide gruve and slid the bolt to the notch. Once it clicked he was ready. The clicking itself made it possible for him to see the weapon for a second, and it was indeed loaded.

He raised his arm once more to where he thought it needed to be. Of course, he was blind, so that could have been inch off too far. Remy thought for a moment and spoke to Sal..."If you don't mind monsieur, I think I will try something..." With that, he took his guide stick in his right hand from his waiste and tapped the floor with it twice. This allowed for him to aim the shot, as the vibration in the wood floor allowed a partial picture of what was infront of him, blue and yellow targets in front of a blue and yellow wall on pitch black. He aimed and fired his bolt again, seeing it flying through the air towards his target.

The bolts vibrations could be seen as it twisted through the air and hit just low of the center point. "How did you- oh it doesnt matter, I probibly wouldnt understand it anyways," Sal said in confused astonishment, "Uhh, oh yea. You hit just low of your mark, if you lift the arm up higher you will hit it right on the mark right now."

Remy nodded and reloaded like before, feeling his way quickly to the gruve and then the notch. "Just below it eh? I will aim higher this time." He smiled and raised the crossbow again. Before firing, he tapped the floor and once again, his "vision" lit up, he fired slightly higher than before and then, without waiting, started to reload once more, finding the gruve and the notch. He tapped the floor once more, and in a matter of seconds after the first bolt had hit wherever, he fired a second at the target to the left of it, hoping to hit somewhere near the middle.

It wasn't that Remy was showing off, not at all. He wanted to prove to himself that he could do anything he set his mind to. He knew it would come in time, maybe slower, but time none the less. Afterall, he hadn't attempted moving targets yet.

The first bolt hit the center of the target right on, but the next bolt went shallow, strikeing the floor far to the right of the arrow. Remy could here a curse and a "Hey watch whare your pointing that thing!" At that point a young human could be seen behind the farget, adjusting it up higher. As the human spoke everything about his seemed to shimmer in Remy's odd version of vision.

"Sorry about that Rimmic," Sal called to the human he then turned back towards Remy and said, "That target is out of your bows range. But we will move on, as you have proven to be able to hit a target in the center, roughly. The next thing will be hitting a moveing target. So as you can guess you need to aim ahead of a movieing target. That distance varies on how fast and how far away it is, the faster or further away it is the further ahead of it you need to be. I'll go set up a rolling target for you to fire at."

Sal then went and set up a target so it would role across the floor when Sal pulled a rope. "Alright, tell me when you are ready by saying something like Pull or what ever works for you."

Remy nodded and agreed that aiming just ahead of a slow moving target made sense. "Very well," he commented when Sal went to move the target. Remy readied another bolt, finding once more the gruve and then the notch. These two places on his bow had become very important to him, and familiar, like the walls of his home where he could roam freely after living there for many eras. He stood, the bow and his arm outstretched in front of him, ready to fire.

"Pull!" he shouted with a great did of vibrance. This whol experience was exhillerating for the blind man and it excited him more and more as he solved each part of this target practice puzzle. He waited for the rope to start and once it did, he could easily "see" his target at the entire contraption, which was brought to view through the scratching of the rope. He took aim just in front of the target and fired, hoping that he was fortelling the speed well enough.

The target came out of the slope it was on and hit the wooden floor hard and bounced into the air and bounced again when it came back down. After the second bounce the rapid moveing target roled level until it hit a support beam and flopped to the floor on it's side. If not for that initial bounce the blind human would have hit it near the front, center of the target.

"Oh good Try!" Sal Called from off to the side, off to the side the human named rimmick could be heard fireing off larger bolts from a shouldered cross bow. Each time he hit the target, it would move a bit as it was being hit with such force. "I'll set up another one for you Remy," Sal assured, "Be ready for it to bounce, though it might not! Holler when your ready!"

Remy shook off the miss. He had been invisioning a straight line in his mind, but it figures that Sal would throw that at him. Afterall, opponents rarely move in a straight line in battle. He readied another bolt from his large basket of them and once again found the notch. This training, if nothing more, was getting him used to loading the bow. Unfortunately it took both hands and he had to let his guide stick sit at his waist each time.

He held the bow back out in front and tapped his stick to the floor to make sure he was more or less lined up. He blew his hair from his face, not that it mattered and took a deep breath. He would wait for the target to begin moving and anticipate a jump this time. If one didn't happen, he would ignore it and fire at the last second when the target was about to fall to its side. Reguardless, he would fire at a target only when it was on its way down. "Pull!" he yelled with zest!

This time the target was slower, much slower. It hit the floor with a dull thud and roled lazily across the floor and when it was about a foot from the piller it suddenly hit the floor as the bolt hit it in the front side, causeing it to spin a bit as well. "Good Show," Sal called from behind the pulling contraption, "Be ready for another one. Here she comes!"

Sal had no intention of giveing the blind man time to load the the cross bow, he needed to be able to load the weapon quickly as well as fire it acuritly.

Remy was pleased and showed it with a big grin. "Good, good," he said, having no time to celebrate before Sal launched another target. He quickly reached for a bolt, thumbed it and brought it to the gruve. He slide the bolt in with little trouble, thought not as fast as he would some day, and brought it to the notch. He quickly brought the bow in front of him like he did before, but that is where he stopped for a second. Just like when he is in a hurry, things go wrong. They always had, and he knew to calm down when rushing. Why, just the other brightening, he was trying to put on a boot in a hurry and fell over.

He needed to settle, afterall, the target was going to be there a split second from now, so he could calm himself and relax. "Watch it, watch it..." he said to himself, coaching himself to concentrate. When the time seemed right, he would release the bolt and bring down the target, hopefully on a jump recovery.

The target was faster then the first one, but ran smoothly across the floor at first, but this time it hit an odd floor board and shot into the air. This was the chance to get the target on the downward motion that Remy had hoped for. The bolt released and wizzed through the air at a shivering speed and hit the target dead in the center as it fell. The push of the arrow against the center of the target caused it to land on it's back side. The wooden target split when it hit the ground.

"Very good," Sal said oddly, he suddenly didn't believe Remy to be as new, nor as blind, as he seemed to have said he was, "This Time I will release two one after another. So be ready to load another one on quickly! Call when your ready."

Remy loaded a bolt as quickly as possible and readied his bow once more. He stood straight, with his arm out straight and his chin against his shoulder to make sure he was in the right stance. "Pull!" he shouted and Sal released the first target! Remy would stay calm, but try and hit it early in its travel. He tapped the ground with his stick to get an even better "view" of the target than the rope allowed for. Following the target with his arm, he would eventually fire the crossbow at the target as it was in mid-air if it made a jump. If not, he would fire normally.

Then he would grab another bolt, and bolt to gruve and gruve to notch he would load it as fast as possible. The time would come for the release of the second target and he would fire upon it late in its travel.
