Temple to Kaimelea
The Temple of Kaimelea was a beautiful building in itself. Standing in what seemed an eternal night, created by the shade provided by the tall trees that grew on the island, a small little temple sat. Around it, small vines grew up the sides, as well as the trees closes to the temple. The flowers on them looked like little stars, twinkling at each other in a night sky created against the temples walls. It was as if they were all part of something greater. It was as if they new that they were beautiful, shimmering there on the building that they could call home.
The Temple of Kaimelea was perhaps the most versatile of the three temples contained within the city of Arios. Definitely the most interesting, the Temple was the only place that one could go to get sleep. The aura of the Temple was strange, giving off the languid energies of restlessness and peace. The priests within the temple were well aware of the fact that there was no sleep on the island.
While the priests in the temple didn’t get many visitors, their doors were always open to people. The priests contained within the temple were experts. They were well-known on the island for helping people’s mental health. They provided mental healing for those that needed it, as many people did. Not sleeping was something that was a hard task on the island, and the Priests were there just for that purpose. Another thing that the priests did was help people sleep. On lunarias, the people, with the help of the priests, could sleep and rest their minds free of thinking for a day.
The main purpose, though, of the temple was so that the priests could commune with Kaimelea. It was the only place on the island that was sufficient enough for this task, and the priests carried out this task very well. Along with that, some people were taught mysticism within the temple and were taught by priests. Most of these people were other priests in the making or priests, though.
If one were to walk inside the building, they would notice the positive energies that it gave off from the vibrant air around the temple. The ceiling was hollow and if one were to chant, the words could be echoed and received through the temple a whole five seconds later. The natural acoustics of the place gave it a most eerie feeling, but in a positive way.
If one were to walk straight in, right ahead of them would be a kiosk with a man in it, dressed in a priest’s cloth. He would greet the person. ”Serale. Is there anything I can help you with in particular?”
