From the outside the Stopover Tavern appeared just as any other building in Arios, though longer and wider. It was made of logs and looked a lot like a massive log cabin. There was a chimney on the roof though it only released smoke when it was raining out so that visitors to the inn would have a place to get dry and warm up though its main function was a hang out place for Ariosians to get a drink before the nigh proper hit.
One would be able to see the inside of the tavern from the windows outside as they were kept open and allowed the sun to shine it. This caused the inside to be very bright unlike many taverns that are on the mainland.
One could always hear music and cheerful laughing while the tavern was open. It was a cheery place to be even during the slow Ariosian days when most other places were quiet. To the right in the corner was a fireplace that when burning burnt low as to not over heat the warm building. When the rain came it was lit, otherwise it wouldn’t be as there was no need to use it for light as the windows provided more than enough of that. Beside the fireplace was a small stage raised only slightly and with enough room to hold four people with decent sized instruments. The bands were often different but one thing that wasn’t, there always seemed to be a good vibe that came from them. One that made people happy and want to move to the music.
The tavern was open all brightening and closed during the darkening. Which this may seem strange to mainlanders it wasn’t at all to the natives of Arios. Nobody on Arios was expected to work unless they absolutely wanted to as the darkening was when everything started to come to life. However if somebody was hard to get in it wasn’t hard as the door was unlocked all of the time and usually one of the twins were there.
The bargirls were elven girls and both born on the island of Arios and was made obvious by the vigor that they were filled with all of the time. They both had golden colored hair with beautifully curved body. They were all around beautiful, most likely the most beautiful girls on the island but they were not to be flirted with, it was just a rule. The Ariosan knew that even though their voices were kind and light flirting resulted in only one thing…
pain. Luckily for outsiders the locals were always more than willing to warn them before they do anything stupid.
The most unique thing about the tavern were the drinks. Though two people may order the same drink at the same table the two were always presented different than one another. It could be a change of color or even how the foam rested at the top. One thing for sure though was the tavern sold strong drinks.
Though the tavern has rooms it is more often that people go to the inn where the rooms are better and more private. When you order a room here you are led to the back where there are 6 beds close to one another, with a chest in the front of them with a key in it. It isn't often that a room is needed unless it is to put things away as one can only sleep on Arios once a brightening.
