[Adventure] Them in the woods!

One day, in the first days of Spring Era XV, shrieks came from the nearest forest patch of the town. The sound froze people in their places, so horrible and full of agony it was.

Then there were sounds of someone breaking through the bushes in to the town and people began to back off... Before they had time to run, someone emerged through the last bushes and fell flat to the side of the road that circled Arios.

It was a woman. Human. Middle-aged. Dirty and ragged, long hair in knots and all kinds of twigs and leaves hanging from it. Her clothes were ripped and every patch of skin that was now shown was full of scratches, bruises, even open wounds. Her face had been beaten by the brances and she had the same cuts and scratches on her face than the rest of her body.

But nothing was more alarming than her eyes: wild, beyond sanity.

When asked what had happened to her, all she could say and all she would ever say again, was:

"IT WAS THEM, THEM IN THE WOODS!"

Detective Reinus Narcisse was on the case. After hearing the poor woman's statement about "Them in the Woods", he couldn't just sit around town and wait for someone else to fix the problem. No. It was a job that was only solvable by the greatest best skilled detective elf in the whole wide world. Reinus Narcisse.

"I'm on the case! Don't you guys worry, I will solve this before the next brightening!"

Whether or not the others heard Reinus was not of his concern. It was his mission to save the people of Arios from whatever monster had appeared from the forest during the spring time. It was unheard of. Spring was a happy time and that monster was disrupting the peace of Arios.

It was only natural for Reinus to agree to this. His great grandparents had lived here as well as the rest of his family. They had blessed him with the family heirloom, a rock from the first plot of land they have got, and instructed him to take care of this city.

Of course!

He would not let this city fall. Never!

So the fact that he was lost and was slightly forgetting what he was out in the forest for was not going to discourage him...right?
