Forum Info.
1.) This is primarily a Moriquendi Elf with some minor Faerie influences due to it's proximity to Fae'rel. Other types of PCs may start in Ethgan'tor, provided you have a correct background written up for them... A Human or another short-lived being could potentially be in service to a house as a low-class servent. Half Moriquendi are potentially allowed, but only if the other Race would be classified as sociably acceptable (to a degree...expect racism).
Half Vysstichi Moriquendi/Half Moriquendi being my primary concern, if you choose to play a Half Moriquendi/ Half Thelyri...please work a proper background as this is the Forest of Light and the oceans tend to be rather far away you'll note if you check out the
Map of Alleria. I heartily recommend reading the Elven writeups in the Compendium, any information upon Trelore that you can fine (some of it related to the Moriquendi and how they are perceived in society) and two writeups currently in the Culture section of the Worldforge:

2.) Only Timestamped threads will be moderated in Ethgan’tor, and I hope each and every player within Ethgan’tor follows the guidelines. If you have any queries on how this works, please read through the Timestamping summery stickied at the top of the forum or PM one of Ethgan’tor’s moderators.
3.) If you don't start in Ethgan'tor, entry
must be RP'd. Moriquendi may proceed through to the gate thread itself and it is assumed your PC would have knowledge of the 'tests'. If you'd rather your PC not know, entry will be RP'd like everyone else. For everyone else, you will be required to start a thread in the Lauryllian Gracelands rather than in the Ethgan'tor forum. PM one of Ethgan'tor's moderators and your attempted entrance will be RP'd. Ethgan'tor is located within the heart of the Forest of Light and the trip can take several brightenings at the very least, cycles if you choose the wrong pathways (please no OOC info...) so consider this your appropriate warning.
4.) Please remember this forum is still in development and as such probably won’t contain every location you’d expect in a city locale. Give us all time and something will eventually be worked out. If you think we’re taking too long about something, write the location and then forward it to myself as an email – if it meets Ethgan’tor’s standards of writing, I’ll post it up and naturally accredit it to yourself. If it’s declined, please don’t take this as a slight to yourself; but after moderating in Alleria Prime for over a year I have very little desire to see short location descriptions in public buildings. (And I'm pedantic)
5.) Please read the general outline of Ethgan’tor. (Yes I know it isn’t posted…give me time.)
6.) PC’s starting in Ethgan’tor are allowed to have a residence within the city to the approximate value of 10,000 gc. Up to eight rooms in all as well as a small garden and a second story if desired. The location must be made from marble as this is the primary construction of Ethgan’tor – failure to do this will result in obtaining a PM from myself requesting that you edit. This is because of how Ethgan’tor is designed; for long term and the entire city’s design would have been created centuries ago when the Moriquendi first fled after the Elven wars. If you decide to leave Ethgan’tor however and sell (lease to another Moriquendi House) your property, you will however only receive 4,000 gc rather than the usual 5,000 gc you’d obtain elsewhere.
