Weclome to the city of Ethgan’tor! I hope you enjoy your stay in this secluded city, but firstly there are a few things that you must be made aware of before you post or peer-mod in this city. It does differ from the other cities and therefore requires some very strict rules, which must be enforced to ensure character, balance and in-character realism.
1. This is the holy city of the Esh’lahier, this means that the city is sacred. Only Esh’lahier, various half-breeds, (not including half-vysstichi) and Fae-folk are welcome within the city. The rest of the races will find nigh it impossible to even find the city, let alone get in, and if they come within the way gates, there will be the city militia to protect the city from any other races that try to desecrate the city with their presence. Other races will be shot or taken as slaves, depending on race. The Esh’lahier are not a very nice bunch.
2. If you are not starting out in this city as a new character, as either a Esh’lahier, Fae-folk or human slave or something along those lines, then entry
MUST be role-played. There will be no exceptions for players not starting in the city. Esh’lahier can assume that they can pass the way gates and the city militia without a second glance and have knowledge of the tests, so they are allowed to self-moderate arrival if they so wish. But for the other races, they don’t have such a privilege. For the other races attempting to enter the city, a seperate thread must be made in this forum, and titled clearly, where your attempt to enter the city can be properly roleplayed. Remember, from the edge of the forest of light, it will take a cycle or even several cycles if the wrong pathways are cosen and tests are failed, remember you can not use OOC information IC, so consider this your warning.
3. All threads in this city
MUST be time stamped. If you are unaware or unsure about how timestamping works, please either read up on timestamping, there are a few threads around or PM one of the mods.
4. I ask everyone to be a little patient, the moderators have other commitments as well, if a thread has been left unattended for several days, then you can prod the moderation requests or PM Adder to get back on it quickly.
5. Have fun, that’s what we’re here to do, that’s one of the primary reasons I play Alleria, is to enjoy myself, your reason may be drastically different, but everyone should be wanting to have some fun and I promise you that’s what I'll be aiming for as the new GM of Ethgan’tor.
