OOC Discussion and requests - Summer
Serale and welcome (back) to all who have threads here or are considering the idea.
Please drop in here and let me know if you have any threads hanging around that need attention. I will be working away, understanding the city structure for a while so I won't be posting a great deal unless you are as well!
<nibbles fingernails in frustration at the important articles in the compendium that I can't access here or on the Wayback archive>.
Let me know if you have ideas, would like things changed or are desperate for certain things not to change!

Many, many thanks to Skay for that link! Is that new?
Anyway, this link gives a nice description of the Eli'tha city in Sheria. Now I am pretty confident that this has never been actually implemented IC, but I am in a pretty good position to implement it, even if I seem to have lost my GMship of that wilderness (lol). I happen to have a PC out exploring the wilderness at the moment, and she is Esh'lahier! So needless to say, I am going to divert her there as well as entering this into the Realmcraft of the Sheridan Cosmopolis.
So anyone who fancies visiting that city, feel free to find your way there, or let me know if this has been superceeded IC or anything else that you want to comment on!

*pokes* Former GM Peach here... Ask me any questions you want. I think it's safe to say that I'm the expert of Ethgan'tor, heh. There's a LOT of the culture of the city and the Esh'lahier that live in it in my article that currently resides in the Races section of the Worldforge. So I'd advise that you read that (:

I'm sure that you'll do fine, but I really would like for you to read the article thoroughly ^_^ I put a lot of effort into the city so I'm a little protective of it. Sorry if I seem bossy ):

lol, that is fine and I will be reading it thoroughly. However, I should warn you in advance that I have a tendancy to change things and to interpret things differently. However if I do then the Realmcraft is always open for you to try and convince me why I am wrong
Unfortunately although a huge amount of effort has gone into developing the city it is not a success IC and this is the same situation I found in Ire. Hazbones has also been unhappy with some of the things I have done there but while I respect the effort that he put into the development, I am happy in my own mind that the changes I have made have made the city more playable while still retaining the character as I understand it.
Having said that, I do very much appreciate having your help especially while I am trying to learn all of the detail that should make this such an excellent city.

My current to-do list:
http://www.alleria.com/forums/showthread.php?p=946120
Involvement in some underground anti-nobility group for stealth and locksmith training (Basic stealth covered, going over basic locksmith)
Was also possibly going to lead into some basic 'jobs' for them for experience.
http://www.alleria.com/forums/showthread.php?p=952475
Basic Glaive just finished, can probably be closed but it was also going to cover Basic Ataa with the same NPC at some point (on hold because of stealth training in other thread)
http://www.alleria.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50358
Recently started murder plot, the direction it was going largely unknown...also covering Alexi's former military career history.

*raises brow* I would have you know, that while Ethgan'tor did not have many players, the ones who were there (or at leat the vast majority) enjoyed themselves. I thought that we were supposed to aim for quality as GMs. So, yes, I do believe that Ethgan'tor has been successful, or at least while I was there.

<grins> I always support what previous GMs have done, and I know that your posts in particular are much loved by the PCs who played here - which is why incidently I would be very pleased if you would peer mod here sometimes. So, I agree when you were here it was successful.
I'm also not a fan of modding huge cities with hordes of PCs, however, when there are no PCs active then something has clearly gone wrong. Fixing it will take time, perhaps a longer time frame than I will be able to support if Sheria kicks off into action.
And yes Dunc I will be with you soon

Inactivity has been more from lack of consistant moderation than lack of a good city and background...
But thats just my opinion after I went through threads with four moderators in and Saw the city start with Maddyn and end up with you for now
