House V'reth
The dorin making it to the city and being able to enter was the first of his goals. He managed to find his house mid way down a narrow street. He approached the semi-elegant house. Looks expensive but I'm sure its not that expensive. He slowly walked up to the front door and turned the knob, once the door was open he walked in and took a good look around. He set down his pouches in the kitchen area on a little table fit to seat 2 people. He then found the spare bedroom, only having one bed in it, and no other furniture. He then found his way to the main bedroom, he enters it slowly looking around, the elegance of the walls, the bed itself, and even the book shelf which held one book.
Pulling the book down he read slowly,
The House of the Deveil's is a long but true story of how they once lived within the city. The Deveil's were once a very rich family until they spent everything they had on a way to make their son's life better.... Lanx stopped reading, he put the book back on the shelf and proceeded to the bed, looking it over carefully, it had the imprint that it was only slept in a few times. "Well I guess its time for a good rest."
Going back to the door, he closed it then headed back to the bedroom to lay down for a bit.

The house had once been a fine one, much as the book implied. It was certainly much finer than many could have hoped to have had as their first home. On the other hand there was a definite sense of the past tense about this house.
It once was a fine house, not huge by any means and dwarfed by the splendour of many larger ones. One thing that Lanx would notice very quickly once he got chance to look around the propery properly was that many of the tiles on the roof were missing, not the ones at the front where it showed, but the ones around the back where it didn't. Water had been entering the house through the non-existant roof for many an era and not only was the house somewhat damp, but some of the floors were slightly rotten, a fact he would soon discover. His weight on the bed was enough to drive the legs of the bed straight through the floor, giving him a nasty jolt.
Structurally the house was sound, but clearly it would need some care before it was a home to be proud of.

Lanx immediately got out of the bed, he looked at the floor, he then looked around the house, stomping his foot a bit to check the stucture. Once done he went outside and inspected the exterior, once around back he noticed the roof and much more about the house. "Guess I need to do some work on this house before its really a house. Just need a job so I can make enough money to fix it up." Not sure where he would go for a job, he only knew this house needed some work. He didn't want to cut down any of the forest as its a living forest and it could harm him if he was to hurt it.

Lanx was surely correct that he needed a job. Surely the military was the option he had originally considered and someone could point him in the right direction. If he had changed his mind then a tavern chat or even the military recruiting clerk would likely reveal some hints as to what was available. Otherwise he could simply approach the existing businesses and see if they needed a hand, which surely some of them did.

Lanx thought of the places to get a job then remembers wishing to join the military. He decides to head out for the recruiting office.
OOC: Couldn't find a thread for the recruitment office, as well, can a character be in the military for 2 different cities at the sametime?

ooc: Use the Welcome thread to find your way around. The military can be found here.
Well in theory yes, in practice it could be very difficult. Being part of a military means that you are subject to service to that city. Never mind being part of two militaries, being part of one means that you would need to spend most of your time in that city with only short trips out of the city. Of course it depends on the military but... You'd need to explain what and where before I could judge if it was acceptable.

ooc: Rangers might have allowed you to belong to both, but the FR rangers are more of a military unit than rangers in the Allerian sense, so I can't see it working really. You would need to make a choice as to which unit you wished to join.
