Arakmat City is the capital of the
Sultanate of Arakmat and an ancient city built before the rise of the Aelyrian Empire. It houses the Palace of the Sultan, the former ruler of the once independent Sultanate of Arakmat. Now it is the siege of power from where the governor can control the province. Arakmat is a cultural and economical center in the western empire and has always been a unique place offering a different experience to the visitors.
City History
Founding
Arakmat is one of the most ancient cities in the Empire. Its history goes back to the early ages of human developement as it was founded in era 7650. The history of the foundation of the city of Arakmat and the early eras are gathered in a long poem called
Khalifa credited to
Omar Rashhak.

A major change in the status of the city came when both the
Principalty of Arakmat and the
Emirat of Zendir joined to form the new Sultanate of Arakmat. The city, built around an ancient oasis, grew to become the center of a strong and developing state made of the alliance of dorin and nairu humans. Later the city of Arakmat would become the capital of the Arakmatan province and an important city of the
Aelyrian Empire
Recent Events
Recent history has revolved around the upheaval of the Sultancy and the mystical Hurricane that destroyed most of the city. Since the Hurricane the city had been placed under Martial Law and when the old dorin Sultan, Doksh Ihmotep, attacked a group of 'concerned' citizens with his own private elite guard, the General of the Army, Khamûl Noir-Est, stepped in and declared the dorin to be insane and took control of the city himself. He appointed a new Grand Vizier, Toshi, and a new Pasha, Godah Yoah Olohan, to take some of the responsibility for the citizens of the city.
After the disapearance of Grand Vizier Toshi of Zinn, dorin Pasha Godah Yaoh Olohan took the position of Acting Grand Vizier under the name of Akhenaslan Al Hattar. He was soon confirmed by the new Sultan, Sheik Rafiq Al Hakkar who ascended as new Sultan of Arakmat. But this situation soon came to an end when the new appointed Imperial Consul to the Western Realms Elle Kaldres Lothain decided to strip the Sultan from his position and move the power siege to the city of
Imperia after her visit to the Palace in Arakmat City. This had as first result the arrestation of Akhenaslan Al Hattar under the accusation of treason against the crown and rebellion.
After that date, the city of Arakmat faded into isolation and any news coming from it became rare.
