Highport

Highport Ward in the Old Prime district of Aelyria Prime. Highport is a suburban autonomy northeast of the capital city. Originally settled by wealthy merchants and affluent traders, the village of Highport was first established as a municipality under the reign of High Queen Charisma to serve as a by-port for the queen's entorage as it traveled to Insula Coronae from the city of Daltina and often stayed in Unicorn Parish. A young jurist by the name of Aubi (later High Queen Melody de Lylles) served as an Aedile of Highport and constructed the famous boardwalk of sandywood on which innumerable shoppes, trade, and production houses lined the beach. In the Third Empire, a large influx of artisans and craftsmen migrated to Highport resulting in an urban sprawl which made it indistinguishable from much of the rest of Old Prime's respectable neighborhoods. Guarded by Fort Candace and Fort Charisma, Highport is also known as a second major departure point for the Royal Ferry. See Also: Highport Autonomy
