Passed over by beachcombers as unsightly, smelly heaps, few would guess at the grace with which they exist under the waves. A staple food for many fish, seaweed's provide habitat, breeding grounds and nurseries for not only fish, but all manner of ocean life. The fish are not the only ones to realize the wealth of resources that grow on the shores, land-living species have also found there are benefits to be reaped from the shore.

Types

Sea Lettuce, Norri, Baker's Kelp, Leopard Weed, Bull Kelp, Old Man Beard, Red Crust, Kelpie
