Canorili's Card Parlor

Located in the heart of the Westgate District, Canorili's has remained a staple of the area since its first opening night. Known throughout the area for a place of cheap thrills and place to make a little crown if your luck is right it is one of the many entertainment venues in the area. The stone and wooden hall is kept clean and inviting, its massive blocks of stone being cleaned every week. The building itself is short, being only a single story but is exceptionally long taking up the area three or four other buildings would in length and width. There are only two entrances into the building. A single front door of polished imported wood and a small silver plaque with bold gold letter denote the name of the place. Around the intersection it lies on another identical entrance appears on the west side of the building. It is obvious to whoever has seen the place that it remains busy, having customers both happy and angry leave throughout both day and darkening. In case of any trouble, a two private guards are situated at both entrances.

Inside an overload of sensory images and smells overload you. The building is a bit dark but is both relaxing and inviting. Thick colorful rugs adorn the whole of the massive floor in intricate and rich patterns. The painted beige walls inside are covered every so often with a tapestries in superb craftsmanship and detail. Incense and smoke often drifts lazily in the air, giving the place a curious aroma. Its loud inside with people chatting, yelling, cheering and arguing.

Row after row of tables situate the middle of the building with games of chance on each one. Crowds gather at tables and sometimes when the lucky gamblers are on a roll, cheering them to win. Everything from dice to cards is played here, some tables as cheap as a single crown to enter while others are for higher rollers to spend. Because of the nature of the area and city itself, Canorili's features an impressively large security force. No less then 20 guards roam the building making sure everything is how it should be. At the slightest hint of trouble they don't hesitate to throw a cheater out, or worse. The management here has little respect toward the city gaurd and it is well known that anyone caught stealing, cheating, or anything else suffers their health if they do it in Canorili's.

To the eastern side of the building stretches a gigantic bar staffed with five bartenders. The enormous bar takes the whole wall with plenty of barstool seating and then tables behind those. The drinks here are dirt cheap, and the staff is known to have wide selections imported from all over the Empire. Some food is also served, although this is limited. At any time people can be seen at the bar, taking a short break from the games, hoping their chance catches up or never slows down. The bartenders are known however for having the people kicked out should they only be here for the cheap drinks. The bar is an amenity for those who gamble.

On the south side of the building is a lounge area where private games are held. Here the more prosperous of Imperians citizenry can gamble in quiet security. Having every kind of game the main floor does this area allows smaller (more expensive) games to continue, each being played with one of the Card Parlors best dealers. This area is off limits for most, only a select few have the privilege of this area where the drinks are free and crowns exchanged in large quantities.

Ricotor Canorili owns and operates the parlor, having inherited it from his father. Greedy and inpatient this stocky human isn't afraid of getting what he wants should the opportunity present itself. The parlor is always hiring (as it keeps a large staff) and seeking people of excellence.
