Drake was trying to find a way to cure the never-ending insomnia that had always been with him even since he was a child. Drake was walking around the garveyard, a place he never visited much. He was walking quietly in the graveyeard studying everything to a deatil. Starring at various headstones of past Imperians and other Aelyrians. Drake pulls out his small tin flask and takes a shot. "Ooooh, that'll warm the veins from the cold." He makes a burp. The smell afterward reeked the air of whisky. "Hmm...Many have choosen Imperia to lay they rest, most human like me." Drake read one of the headstones to himself. "Name.....Age 71 Patterens.....Death by natural causes....Hmm....Well Imperia took its fair share weather by fate or by foul play, many rest here."
Drake continued to walked around. There seemed to be a couple others out and about the graveyard tonight. Drake really didn't know if he should interact or not. More then likely no, since this is Imperia, those words could very well be his last. "Hmm better keep to myself, after all those could be some thugs...I'm not saying I couldn't handle myself, but they might know more then I...I'll stay a shadow of the night." Drake walked around some more. "Ah this poor fellow...Died at sea, no remains were ever found, here lies his soul...Sad." Drake simply shakes his head. "Once again the city and the sea took many."

It dark out, much darker than khan remembers it getting around his block. He decides to take a walk toward the graveyard district, and has a thought a fear run up his spine, probly from how dark it is even with his gear he couldn't use them as proper as someone who had training in the field. after about an hour pass's he comes about half a block away from the graveyard when he see's the graveyard just ahead,he see's a man in a white shroud looking at a headstone in apparent contemplation. he carefully approaches him from a shadow to his the left. Khan wonders to himself,"who would be wanting to stand out here in the night?".

(ooc: Just fyi- at night Imperia's streets [especially dangerous places like the graveyard] is largely deserted. It is very unlikely there would be anyone else out and about. Please read the "Ambience" section of Information of Imperia for clearification. Thanks! And I'm glad you guys wanted to go ahead with this thread!)
The graveyards of Imperia. Perhaps in all the Empire there was not such a busy place. Every brightening new plots were being opened up and new tenets being dis posited here. A side effect of a high crime rate, to be sure. There were all sorts of people here, most so poor they could not afford even the most basic of headstones in death. Instead, a fair bunch of the graves were simply marked with white painted stones laid in piles at the head of the graves. The place too was rumored. There were ever growing tales of foul natures at work here. Depending on who you talked to the graveyard was haunted, filled with undead, reavers, or worse. Of course most of these were just children's stories but one never did know.
The place was like many graveyards, quiet and somber. Seemingly alone, Drake moved about unabated. Here he could look at the many who had drew their last living breath in the city. Nobles, dock workers, and beggars all, this was the final destination for all those that called Imperia home. The air was chill and cold, with fog moving in through the sacred site as the weather often did in Winter. There was a light drizzle in the air, not wet enough to be troublesome however. There was also no moon, a good thing if one were to believe in omens and the like.
As Khan approached the graveyard he could easily make out Drake, standing there in his white garb. Moving to Drakes side easily in the darkening he could watch the kemite. The only question was what would he do? Hopefully their meeting would not add a new member to the graveyard. This place claimed many souls already....

Drake could see his breath in the night air. Tonight was indeed one of the colder of the last few nights. Drake could see figures about drake slowly moved his way to the other figure in the night air. Step by step drake looked like a shadow himself. Drake once again moved closer maybe trying to idenify who, or what it was. Drake one in bewtween three head stones. Spit on the ground, the echo of sipt leaveing his trembeled the silent air.
Drake could see a sudden moventment. Almost like a flush of air zipping away. Drake edged closer, drake could see this was now a man, a fairly large human male. Drake walked behind and quietly walked next to him. "Crazy isn't it?" Drake starred at him and looked down at two small headstones. "How long we live and how quick we mortals can parish." Then drake looked to the stars. "Then we go up there, to the wonderful beyond." Drake pointed his index finger up. "Hmm, so like I said, Crazy isn't it? We are simply mortals, and as mortals we can die in a matter a of flash" Drake snapped his finger. "But who am I to say what happends to anyone, for I am no one myself." Drake walked up to another larger headstone and looked up and crossed his arms on it and says, "Indeed crazy..."

Khan quickly realized that the man he intended on sneaking up on had indeed covertly discovered my presence, Khan had no idea. After listening to him Khan opens his mouth and quietly says
"Well I'm not sure what you mean by going to the stars, but I agree we are mere mortals patheticly fragile that is till we learn a thing or two. But more importantly who are you?
The thought of someone speaking in such ways and not offering a name just might make someone think the wrong thing about you.
Khan stands there for a second and before Drake could reply he says"
Well I'm Khan Kassad a nobody in Imperia, and before you ask what I'm doing out here, well I don't know just decided to go for a walk; even knowing full well the dangers that could lurk in every corner of these streets, Especially at night
I am a little curious tho as to why you are out here?Khan almost didn't care much for the thought of any tale his new acqaintence but he also didn't like things he couldn't understand and a man in white and leather armor kind of bewilded himself at any sane thought of this. Khan stands there waiting for the man to reply.

The graveyard was still and quiet but for the voices of the two. Had anyone been watching however, they would had likely laughed as the two untrained men in stealth sought to sneak around each other. The moonless night aided them perhaps, but if they had tried to sneak up behind someone else they would have likely failed. Of course, the graveyard was well tended but even so there were here and there a fell branch or twig that could give them away. Luckily for the two, neither one yet seemed hostile. It would be up to the two whether that kept that way.
The headstones rose out of the ground, some crumbling beyond repair. This place was old, very very old. It was a sacred place, resting of souls went on here. Had the two men realized the history of the place more respect might have been forth coming. After all, on a darkening like this where little others seemed to be around outside disturbing the dead might have had dire consequences. As yet however, there were merely two men speaking in the dead of night.

Drake stood there with a blank stare. As khan was talking drake was able to respond to his questions fairly quickly. "The names drake flowe. Walker of the night, and...Well...I'm involved in some things...Anyway..." Drake began a slight walk making weird gestures with his hands. "I'm out here for no reason really, I haven't been in this area for a while. I have bad insomnia and taking a quiet walk helps me sometimes." Drake lets out a small breath. "I don't know, i guess bordom is also the reason." Drake pulls out his tin flask and takes a swig. "Whoo, harsh....You drink Khan?" Drake holds out the flask so khan could grab it if he chooses. "Walk with me khan, lets talk, very seldome to I talk to other folk around here."

Khan eagerly grabs the Drake's flask not knowing what was in exactly, he didn't care he just wanted something to coat his throat. The air felt rather thin and moist, almost like an unprecedented fog or mist that consumes the terrain faster than cockroaches spread through people's homes, but since it was late and Khan also doesn't get the chance to chat with people for fear of humiliation or worse. Khan takes a swig of the flask's uknown substance and squints a little at it's harshness;
Whiskey, huh, don't drink this much although I have to say it's taste gets better everytime I drink it. So your bored huh?, I have an idea let's become partners in crime, better yet make a hideout at the same time?
Khan wasn't sure how the Drake would react to such a deivious plan and not to ignore the fact that Drake barely knows Khan and vice-versa. Khan stands there for a moment in contemplation and then looks at Drake;
Well I know it's kind of rash and we barely know each other, but I don't have many friends here in this place of crime, but it isn't a bad idea?, we could probly have a better chance of making some crown doing it together rather than alone. Who knows maybe we'll get something better out of doing this or maybe I'm wrong and it just might be our final doom. What do you think?
Khan stands there feeling a little hopefull in Drakes response to this type of plot and thinking that it's a little dangerous to get in league with someone like this man in white before him.

Drake took the flsk back from the human and gave a sereal look at him. "Partners in crime? Well now...Intresting...That depends on one thing khan...You work for the pirates or eve assioate with them?" Drake raised his eyebrow. Drake knew even if khan did work for the pirates, he more then likely wouldn't tell him, but moreso remain udercover. "A hideout huh? I like you thinking khan. Making a hindeout could be complex seeing as how I know not how to build a structure of really...Any kind. Although...I'm sure we could figure it out."
"I like the idea of becoming pirates. Come with me khan lets pass through the city and reach my hovel, then we can talk there. For now, lets try not to mention what it is we are goning to do." Drake and khan try to quickly pass through the city. Drake stops in the middle of the sreets. "Hold on...I need another sip." Drake takes another pull from the flask. He hands it over to khan. "We must becareful...These streets are not safe now. Not safe ever for that matter. My hovel is over the next hill. You can't miss it, its tiny and looks real run down. Lets go." Drake holds the flask out for khan, and waits for him to take a sip.

White hair tied up in a bun and hidden beneath a hooded cloak, the slight form of a young woman is doing it's best to blend in with the shadows as she walks along the mostly deserted streets of Imperia.
Fingers trailing along the walls of buildings as she walked, Lirael nearly passed by the two men stopped in the middle of the street, giving a slight start even as she continued moving down the street, keeping a careful eye on the two ... well ... idiots.
Were they asking for a mugging, then? To be standing in the middle of this part of a city, seemingly drunk if the bottle being passed between them was any indication, they must have been strangers to the city.
Angling her way into a small crack between to buildings, Lirael continued to watch the two men with a small twist to her lips that could almost be considered a smile, if not for the condascending light to her eyes.

Drake and Khan
The city at this time was nothing short of deserted. Most knew that it was folly to be out around this time and if nothing else, asking for death. That being said the environment was also quiet, as quiet as the graveyard they had both came from. The sound of stones and shoes meeting was the only interloping sound besides the hushed voices of the two. The moonless night cloud the area in darkness, making it hard to see anything more then a few meters before you. It seemed as if a deal was coming between the two. Partners in crime? This was not so far off from what others had done in this city before, and likely would do again. Partnerships in Imperia were a profitable, if dangerous thing. It's name was called Crowns, and it was both greedy and beneficial.
Of course, building a hideout could be a huge undertaking. There was the question of materials, skilled hands to put it together, permits from the city and Aedile's office, and crowns to put it all together. Not to say it couldn't be done, but it was a rather large undertaking, unless the two thought of lesser known ways to establish a hideout. Strange or not, it seemed the two men saw the same vision. Drake's flask catches some of the scarce light around and reflects it, not unlike a torch in the night for a brief second. Although, the two had a very small chance of noticing. A wind picked up, coming off the North Sea. It was chilling indeed. Somewhere else a gaurd dog started barking noisly and then stopped abrubtly. It almost felt as if the two were being watched, but a close look around the enviroment showed no eyes fixed on them. Or really, for that matter, anyone around.
Lirael
Imperia was a strange place, without doubt. The two men before the white haired maiden seemed to be so disasterously out of place. A flask shown bright, reflecting light this way and that as it was taken out of pocket and slipped back in. Close enough to make out the two figures but not so much as to hear their words the lady could observe them. It didn't seem as if the two men were aware of her presence. What did the women have planned for the night? Time would tell...

Circling back around the two men, Lirael drew her hood over her head in an attempt to hide her white hair, a beacon on a dark night like this. Really, if there was a way to change one's hair color, she most likely would have done it by now.
She kept herself guarded, ready for an attack at any moment as she moved toward the two men slowly, silently, hands at her side and body stiff. She stood tall, upright, hoping that she gave no indication of her plans for this night. For these two hapless, durnken men.
As she drew nearer, however, she kept her ears pricked, as the saying went, hoping to catch a glimpse of just what these two were doing out and about at this time of night. Especially in so dangerous a part of town.

Drake burped under his breath. Drake nudged khan with his elbow. He gave a whisper. "Shhh...I thought I heard footsteps...Let's make haste to my hovel...At least there we can talk...I feel watched..." Drake waved his hand down the streets. Drake and khan and moved at a slow pace. "So...What skills do you have khan?"
Drake was aware of the annoying presence behind him and khan. He was not threatened. He knew if that was anyone who was anybody, they would have struck drake and khan by now. Drake and khan looked nothing like threats of any sort, so they could be easy suspect...or victim in these cruel streets. They continued to proceed down the streets toward drakes hovel. "I smell something in the air...Maybe its khan or something worse..." Drake thought to himself.

Khan wasn't aware of someone else's precense, but soon after Drake's remark he did feel like he was being followed. Though khan almost cared little for the little eyes that be curious in the night, he still kept his wits about him vividly. Khan says to Drake, "Hmm something foul you say?" Khan gave a hint of a chuckle and continued walking with drake, still thinking of the precense around them who-ever it might be. "I don't know about you Drake, but we need to come up with some crown for a job like this plus tools...."Khan stood in thought for a moment and continued.."Well I'm not sure where we would find supplies, how bout you?" Khan almost tripped on something on the ground and grunts in a low tone, not an ideal moment for khan, he always thought of that being a deadly mistake that just might cost him his life one day. Khan says out loud" Damnit a mistake that may be the last of me.....one day" khan muttered that last part quietly thinking to himself about the fall, still waiting to hear an answer of some type to the qeustion at hand for a job that will indefinitly take a period of time greater than khan could even think.

However Drake had noticed, or deduced that they were being followed was either an act of God or perhaps the man had powers no one knew about. However, although he might feel an interloper watching him he would not be able to locate or see such a thing. For all intents and purposes the streets were vacant and eerily silent as they always were. Lirael was not close enough to hear the whole converstation, but she could pick out a word here or there, still not enough to piece together things. Whatever they were talking about it surely wasn't good. After all, good people who did nice and good things didn't walk around at darkening in the streets. For now, this cat and mouse game continued unchallenged.
