Colby's General Store
A large stone building fronts onto the southern side of Trias Square, the perfect marriage of location and purpose. The shutters are painted white, with green trim, mirroring the heraldry of Kriskinstat, and quite a bright sight compared to the somewhat dreary majority of the town. A large sign hangs from the front of the store, swinging gently in the constant winds, proclaiming the establishment to be Colby's General Store, also listing Gerhard Colby as proprietor in smaller print.
Inside the store is a huge assortment of items form the mundane to the curious, Colby clearly catering to the outlying shepherds' penchant for curios and oddities for entertainment on long windy nights. A few people can be seen browsing about, placing items in the woven reed baskets they carry, which are provided at the door.
A pair of old dwarves can be seen playing stones on a board set up on top of a barrel, short stools the only furniture available there. Neither of the old greybeards seem interested in anything outside their own little world, and the fierce set of their stony faces warns the casual onlooker not to interrupt this epic contest.
Climbing down a ladder placed against the back shelf, a thin, wispy gentleman wipes his hands on his immaculately clean half-apron, and adjusts his black hair a bit, before walking confidently over to a new customer. "Welcome to Colby's, how may I help you?" he asks with charm and warmth, apparently having done this countless times before.
