Bink’s Favorite home, and indeed only home… Well, unless one wishes to count piles of leaves, knotholes, eaves, other people’s homes and the like, was located in the canopy of a fairly large oak. At first glance it might appear to the casual observer to be nothing more than a squirrel’s nest, that is until one got closer and realized that no self respecting squirrel would live here.

Both musty and dusty, all manner of odd things mixed in with sticks, leaves, pebbles and mud went into constructing the exterior. The inside however was of nicer construct. Twigs carefully arranged and cemented by mud constructed the floors, walls and ceiling, with plenty of open space, free of all obstructions to allow safe flight between the first and second floors. The bottom level was covered in fragrant pine needles, mixed with wild flower petals. In the northern corner was the kitchen, of sorts, a bit messy, with raisins, succulent leaves, wild strawberries and the like scattered about for quick snacking. To the east lay a pile of fragrant leaves and even more pine needles, which served as a bed. The rest of the expanse was wide open so that one could practice dancing in mid air. Flying up to the second level, as there are no ladders, there is a small landing to the east, with a storage room just beyond it. To the south an even smaller landing facing a hole covered by leaves, which served as entrance and exit.

Winter of Era II of the Celestine Mandate (current Pattern), Era XIV Post Fractum, Kalendryas, Carmelyana, insanely early


Nestled in pine needles and leaves, slept Bink. Dreams of fighting dragons, saving maidens, and serving the Fae queen as her knight filled his tiny brain until it was almost bursting. His lips curled into a smile and his breathing quickened until finally he was half awake.

Like a drunk insane bumble he came flying out bouncing and rebounding off the walls. With hair in his eyes, he swings madly about “An ambush EH?!” Darting too and froe he brutally attacked his sleeping nest, until he was tired out. “Serves” pant “you” pant gasp “right”.

After a quick rejuvenating meal of yummy leaves and a raisin, he stretched and tested out his wings, “Time for a new adventure! I am going to ummmm… Save a ummmm Princess today” Something tickled the back of his brain. Princess. Princess? PRINCESS! Queen! “ACK!!! Where did I leave the Fae Queen????!!” Dianna? No to many fake fae there… Ummm… “Oh well, off to find the Queen!” He thought to himself, Even though it is overrun with fake Fae thinking back to sprites Maybe I should start there, I surely there are some real Fae there With that he shot up and out of his dwelling flying at some truly mindboggling speed, when he stopped in midair, nearly breaking his wings.

“Clothes? I suppose should wear some…” shaking his head and pouting, he flew back to his home, got dressed, and armed himself with his trusty identification papers. With a bit less enthusiasm he continued his journey.
