Carly took up the slab of wood, and the carving knife. She considered the carving knife for a moment before putting it aside. "If you intend for me to bless or curse the wood, then this knife is useless. A sigil has to be insubstantial by it's very nature. Otherwise, I'd require to destroy the wood upon completion.
But well... let's give it a try."
She placed the wood before her, cradling it between crossed legs. Then she sketched out her first sigil in charcoal before taking up the knife to carve out the wood, deciding to go with the grain. She wasn't a carver, and never worked with wood, but she guessed that would be easier then going through the little lines in the wood.
Her first rune was for 'good', such silly concepts. The sigils would mirror each other, magical designs to twist the bearer of the wood. Though they'd never be cast, it was a bit like trying to explain elvish concepts to a human without using the Elvish language. She used Ikos for the malleability of man, Chanu for the cleansing of the soul, Evo for the concept of a 'good' heart, and Lopeter for the destruction of the old to make way for the new.
A simple four sided polygon sigil. On the opposite side an almost identical sigil was carved, replacing Chanu and Evo for Salucha and Genas. For the evil in a man's heart, and for his destructive nature. The individual sigils were meant to twist the bearer of the object one way or another, she explained as much. Whoever picked it up, whether a gift or a theft, would find themselves faced with the ability to alter the course of their life. The sigil didn't work to change the person directly, merely present them with the chance to change. And nudge them roughly with scenarios.
