Preparing for a ball (Vers, Private, Lyssoryl)

"I'd say that the radishes into rossettes idea is perfect, i'll work on those, whil you line up all of the other vegetables..." she said, and then turned around the a huge vat full of radishes. She'd take them out, and carefully carve them into little rossettes while Lyssoryl lined the rest of the vegetables up as she saw fit...

Lyssoryl went to work on the trays. She did the first tray slowly, using it as a template for the other trays. There wasn't a whole lot of room for creativity here, but she wanted to get the colors and textures in a pleasing formation. She left room for Sera's radish rosettes, and put an empty bowl in the center to hold dip.

"We are going to include some sort of sauce for dipping, aren't we?" she asked.

When finished with one tray, she quickly began to make duplicates on the other trays.

"Yes, we shall, i already have a special batch of sauce, sort of a cream made up for that, but great idea. In cooking, one always wishes to think of new ideas, and get creative with it..." she said, as a response to lyssoryl while still cutting up the radishes into rosette shapes...

"I quite agree, although too much creativity can land you in trouble. For example, why is it that raspberry jam is good, and fried trout is good, but when you mix them together you get something that even rats won't touch? Just one of life's mysteries I suppose."

Lyssoryl's quick fingers made short work of the vegetable trays.

"I must say that I'm looking forward to meeting your husband. I'll try not to do anything embarrassing, so don't you hide or anything."

As the vegetable trays finished, Sera smiled, and then said, "Good work, ah yes, i can't wait for you to meet him, i've exclaimed so much about you to him, he sometimes gets tired of hearing about it. Mostly since he wonders if i have any other helpers sometimes. Which, i do, but you're generally the closest and best helper. I must thank Erik next time i see him for bringing you to me..."

Lyssoryl was momentarily at a loss for words, a condition that she was not used to.

"That is so sweet! And for my part, I have had a marvelous time working for you, and am just glad I've had a chance to pitch in."

"Is this all the prep work we need to do this brightening? If so, I believe that I shall go out and locate a date for the ball. There must be someone out there who would be interested. In fact, I believe I have an idea." She eyed an empty apple crate sitting in the corner of the kitchen.

"Yes, for now this is all of the work that we shall be doing, you can go now, and i hope that you find a good date to bring with you..." she said smiling...

"whew! i'm glad that we were able to finish in time, i was a bit concerned. i will see you tomorrow!"

lyssoryl took off her apron and hung it carefull on a peg, then washed her hands. picking up the empty apple crate, she headed out to put her plan into effect, heading back to her room to change, do her hair, and make a sign.
