Iza sighed sitting down on the grass. Night time had fallen and caught the woman before she could get back to town. It wasn't as if she had really made a hardy attempt. The supposed call girl left the city before the suns lit the sky, she spent the entirety of the brightening walking, resting. Standing in the snow feeling the winter breeze tug at the strands of her hair and chill her skin. For a few hours, she felt clean again.
For a few hours life in Taralon was a brief distant dream as she traipsed around the country side. Izanami had left with the intention of seeking out the nomadic tribe of her mothers' people, it would be nice, like a rebirth to shed her thread bare clothing and be embraced, to be once more enveloped in the warmth of her extended family. To feel like she was at least part the way home. She was a town away from the port that birthed her, and further away from the world she knew than when she was upon the sea.
At least there she knew who would wish to harm her, and perhaps there she was still better equipped. A social death seemed by far less painful to the tavern woman.
Too many times in too few cycles blades that torn her flesh and left her to bleed in their wake. Even on this nature rebirth she carried her blade and her claws, forgotten as they were in this chilled nights' solitude. Her quest becoming quickly sidetracked as the woman explored the winter time woods.
Even now with the glow of Taralon within her sights and her back against the trunk of a tree more ancient than her fathers' father, Izas' mind was far as fingers stroked delicately at the rough bark and breathed in the nights' air.
