Reenix cocked an eyebrow when the halfbreed entered. That type always interested her. They seemed to think that they were better than both sides of their heritage and always thought they deserved respect for simply existing. "Halfbreeds," she sighed well beneath the audible range. With a little effort she managed a forced smile and nodded to her customer. Crowns were crowns.
It was only after Obalym offered her services that Reenix reverted to a sour expression and ceased trying to be amiable. "What exactly could you do for me and what are you expecting to get out of this?" The suspicion hung thick on her voice and she narrowed her glare upon the would-be apprentice.

Second Month of Summer, Era XiV - shortly after his arrival in the city
Elric had plans, yes, plans... but he knew he had to take things one at a time. First and foremost, he had been aware of things taught at the School of Miscellanious Trades while he had been there studying alchemy... classes that weren't openly taught, techniques that could be useful. He made his way to the school and up to the receptionist he went like he had several eras ago as a boy.
"I'm interested in a class, but not one you have listed, something special."
Elric's seriousness would hopefully convey the its message, getting to the point and possibilities quickly and without further complication. While he was sure this school turned away some who they thought weren't serious about such "special" classes, this was one man who was dead serious. And if nothing else, he had been a student there already twice and perhaps, just perhaps that would help.
"Specifically, entry level stealth, or moving quietly, whatever it may be called."

Reenix cocked an eyebrow as she caught sight of the human who walked through her doors. Recognition briefly flashed across her features before casual calm took her once more. She made a point of busying herself with paperwork on her counter for some time as Alric waited. As if she didn't have a customer at all, the vysstichi woman wandered off to the back of her shop and when she returned she had a stack of papers and a quill in her hand. Only then did she give any notice to Alric. "Serale good sir." She spoke in a dull, bored tone and did not glance up from whatever she was writing. "Be there, just after sunset of the brightening after next." She ripped a piece of paper from one of her sheets, folded it, and slid it toward her latest customer. "It will cost two hundred crowns for your instructor to show up." She flashed an innocent smile and drummed her fingers on the counter top as she waited. On the paper she had written something about an alley in the southern quarter between two abandoned shops. It would take some searching if he didn't know the layout of the city, but it didn't seem all too difficult.

Elric nodded. The secrecy excited him and he slid her the two-hundred pounds in bank notes in much the same fashion as she had slid him the location. He smirked for a brief moment and then bowed his head slightly. "Thank you," he said, pocketing the note in his tunic and stepping backwards. He turned and headed out of the academy, knowing that soon he'd be on his way to moving about quickly and quietly through the back alleys of Vortex.

(OOC: Going to self-mod this, since the linkmap describes this as a self-modable location, and it's a pretty basic request, so I figured I'd ease the mods' burden, if just a little.)
22nd Brightening of Kalendryas in the Season of Winter,
Era I of the Celestine Mandate, Era XV Post Fractum
It had been eras since she'd stood in this building, and yet the moment she entered, it as as though she'd never left. She chuckled softly as her eyes fell on Reenix, the woman who'd not only let her into the two other classes she'd taken. In fact, for basic lock'smith'ing Reenix had been the one to instruct her, and the pair had hit it off rather well. Strae was back for more lessons, this time basic stealth. What good assassin didn't have stealth skills?
As Reenix's eyes raised to meet Strae, she was about to give her standard welcoming fare when a glimmer of recognition crossed her gaze.
"Well, well...look who's back. I remember you. Long time ago you said you were going to get a lot of training. Took two classes then disappeared." Strae's enigmatic smile never departed her face. She was a bit different then the last time she'd been present.
"And I still intend to. I'm back for more. Basic Stealth." one of Reenix's delicate eyebrows arched.
"Basic Stealth now? Lock'smith'ing, poisons, and now stealth...if I didn't know better I'd think you were training to be a very troublesome person." Strae, who was currently bedecked in all kinds of weaponry, chuckled softly.
"Perhaps." She dropped the two hundred crowns on the counter. "Sign me up?" Reenix took the crowns and filled out a sheet, finishing proceedure.
"Dusk. In front of the building, at least for the meet-and-greet...how, when, and where you meet after that will be up to your instructor." Strae chuckled and nodded.
"Take care, Reenix...I'd hate for something to happen to you before you teach me every trick you know in locksmithing." A light, tittering laughter met the comment.
"Count on it; I don't go down easy." Strae, her full lips twisted into a sensual grin, spun on her heel and slowly strode out of the building, shaking her head softly at the enigmatically charming woman.

Spring, Cryxatum, PF Era XV
A Nosferatu Vampire Sword. Of all the weapons he could have chosen to buy, he chose that. It was a weird object that he had found, at that time, at the Elegant Blades store. He figured that a vampire sword probably was used to...kill vampires? If that wasn't the case, then he probably shouldn't have walked out with the sword. The hilt of the sword frustrated Ilfirin for it seemed so odd compared to the other swords. Once again, the half elf contemplated on taking another sword, one that was normal. He then shrugged. What's done was done.
His crimson eyes fell upon the building, and with that, he strolled in. Distaste was evident on his face as he saw the Vysstichi. Quickly, he turned back, closing his eyes before turning back, with a soft smile. In better lighting, one might have figured that it was a smirk at best.
He walked closer to her, "May I receive training for my vampire sword? I bought it recently and would like to learn how to use it."

„What do you want here, boy?” Reenix wasn’t too happy to see the boy that was obviously of mixed descent here. The vysstichi gave of an air of superiority and arrogance. She was an impressive sight, tall, with white braids that came down to her waist. She wore black leather armor that was so tight that it fit her like a glove.
“A vampire sword is a bit big for somebody like you”, she decided after she had looked him over. “Probably thought it was a cool name. And this isn’t the kind of place where you learn how to stick a sword in somebody else’s body anyway. You should have gone to “Fitness and Bones”. Markener teaches fools like you every brightening.”
“In my school you learn alchemy or healing or some more specialized trades. Of course you can try to convince me to teach you …” The vysstichi smiled at him. It wasn’t a particularly nice smile. Reenix was not a good woman that helped a boy that had ended up at the wrong school. She only cared about one thing – money, and for money she’d do anything.

OOC: Thanks for taking my thread
He held back his emotions when the Vysstichi so rudely pointed out that he was still a "boy." Anger swelled up in his chest, and he had to swallow it done. There was work to be done. He was here for help, and that meant that he had to suppress whatever feeling, be it good or bad. There would be other opportunities to get back at them. It would not just be this woman, but everyone else that had wronged him. Let them live in peace now and be forever in chaos when he grabbed enough power to bring them all done.
There was a bit of reluctance in the half elf in answering her questions. [color=Gray]"I was hoping that besides learning how to wield this sword, this school would be able to teach me about the purpose of this sword. If you are familiar with metal working for weapons, then surely, you must know how the vampire sword came to exist. It seemed an odd sword to me while I was browsing in the weaponry store. " He chuckled, an attempt to appear easy-going, "Surely, the sword has nothing to do with vampires. That would be funny."
There was a slight tone in his speech that made it sound like he dismissed the belief that there were vampires.
"Would it be possible for you to teach me if I paid you 200 crowns? That was the price for Fitness and Bones. And wouldn't it be better if you took the crowns, instead of Markener?"
He paused; a sudden thought had popped up in his mind. Why not learn alchemy? It was certainly more useful than a blade. The secrets that hid in alchemy were many.
"One second thought, I would like to receive training in alchemy. He handed the 100 crowns and waited.

Reenix grinned at the „boy“. She could be a very charming and seductive woman if she wanted to, but right now she was just mean, and her tight leather armor did nothing to change that. She was just a mean vysstichi wearing tight leather armor instead of a mean vysstichi wearing a potato sack.
“I don’t know how the vampire sword got its name”, she admitted and shrugged. “It was probably somebody like you that named it, somebody that thought vampires were cool. Let me tell you something, boy. Vampires are not cool, they are blood sucking monsters. But you probably aren’t going to believe me, are you?”
“It would indeed be better if I took the money. Markener has enough students as it is, and the only thing he knows is how to fight. I’d be a much better teacher. I’ve studied a lot of different subjects. Markener only knows how to stick a sword into somebody.”
The look on her face was full of contempt. Part of that was for Ilfirin. She had seen him and decided that she didn’t like him – just because, but of course that wouldn’t keep her from taking his money. Nothing could keep Reenix from that!
As he decided that he wanted to learn alchemy after all, she looked thoroughly confused, and her eyes were as big as saucers. “Either you are more intelligent than I’ve given you credit for or you are an idot who does not know what he wants”, she said and took the money before he could change his mind and walk away. “”What is it, boy? Intelligent and willing to learn or an idot?”
