OOC: Sorry, I had not noticed that you posted here.
IC:
For the most part, Draekial remained silent during the trip to the tailor's shop. This was mostly because he was in a most thoughtful state, but not entirely so. Despite the fact that the two would be spending a great deal of time around one another in the near future, the dracon simply was not accustomed to spending time with another individual. His former life of solitude still lay fresh in his mind, and was subject to much contemplation whenever his mind was free to ponder such things.
As he approached the small clothing shop, the first thing that caught his eye was a solitary, ancient orc. Though he generally disliked the race, it seemed that the 'thing' was a worthy individual, for he was protecting the shop itself, as Draekial and Rahkay now did for the city. When the dracon passed by the old beast-like being, he simply shrugged off the warning glare and returned a simple nod.
Upon entering the establishment, he glanced around at all the various styles of clothing which adorned the shop. He had never been big on fashion, and other than the fact that he could tell to a certain degree whether or not an outfit would look 'ok', he had nothing which could be called a "fashion-sense". It was nothing of a great concern, but it was somewhat bothersome. His greatest trouble was knowing that as an official of the city, he had nothing worth showing in public. At least he now had the opportunity to correct this problem.
"Serale Miss," he began gently, after hearing Rahkay say that he should do the speaking. "I am Assistant Prefect Kadrakai, and my companion here is Assistant Prefect Zandos. We are here to acquire work uniforms. We would like them to be designed with a durable material, using the colors dark purple and black. We also need the symbol of Vortex on one side of the chest, the Ariumite symbol on the other, and a falcon on the right sleeve. I do not know a great deal about clothing, so I ask that you design it as you see fit, aside from the few details which I have already specified. I imagine one such as yourself should be able to come up with a fine design." He stopped speaking momentarily to gather his thoughts. "I assume you will need measurements now?"
Draekial stood waiting for the hobbit woman to do whatever it was she needed to. If it appeared that she would not be able to measure his upper portions, he would kneel down to make it easier.

OOC: Sorry about the wait . . .
IC:
The young hobbit's expression brightened when two new customers entered her shop. "Ah! Serale! Serale! How may I help you?" She had to crane her neck back to look up at the tall men and she smiled cheerfully.
At Draekial's words, her excitement doubled and she all but skipped toward them with an overabundance of energy. "Assistant Prefects, are you? I'm honored to meet you! Now, as for the work uniforms . . ." She tapped her finger to her chin thoughtfully as she walked around the pair once, twice, three times. Her eyes regarded the men intently and after pondering for a while, twinkled enthusiastically. She couldn't wait to get started. "Yes, yes. Dark purple and black would set both of you off quite nicely. The symbols would not be a problem though you might have to wait longer for the sewing process."
She clapped her hands together excitedly and nodded at Draekial's words. "Yes, how about we begin with the measurements now?" She hurried over to a chair and climbed on top before turning around to face them. Whipping out her measuring tape with a flourish, she smiled expectantedly at the assistant prefects. "So, who would like to go first?"

"I believe I shall go first," Draek volunteered as he stepped forward. He looked down skeptically at the little halfling woman, as if he doubted that she would be able to reached all the necessary places, but stood beside her little chair anyway. As the little one went about doing her work, he contemplated what other items he should purchase while at the shop. When he came to some sort of conclusion, he spoke up.
"After you have completed these uniforms, I would also like to buy a cloak made out of your finest material, adapted to my uhh, special requirements." The dracon moved his wings about slightly to show the halfling woman what he meant. "Also, I would like several other outfits made of your finest, in various lighter colours. Can you do this for me?" As he spoke, Draekial made sure that he did not move at all, to ensure that he did not mess up the woman's measuring.

While the hobbit woman went about in measuring the length of the man's arms, legs, shoulders, waist and other necessary body parts, she appeared to be a blur to the untrained eyes. Quick and deft, she mumbled blissfully to herself about the numbers.
Her eyes lit up when Draek said he wished to purchase other items and she nodded frantically. "Ah, of course! Of course!" When he lifted his wings to show her his "special requirements", the motion nearly knocked the woman off of her chair. Flailing her arms, she got her balance back and proceeded to beam just as happily. "No problem! No problem at all! We have lovely colors! Lavender, pink, mauve, peach, turquoise . . ." She frowned to herself as her eyes ran down the length of Draek's body. "Or perhaps a simple blue or green would do . . ."
Her mind preoccupied with the thoughts of preparing his clothes, she continued absentmindedly, "As for the uniform, I will get them ready and have them sent to the Prefect. You need not worry about payment since he always reimburses me when I make my deliveries."
Her eyes darted to Rahkay then and she nodded slowly, "I do believe I have your measurements already so I won't need to bother you again. Your uniform will be made with the numbers I got from before."
She turned back excitedly to Draek again. "So would you like to specify what sort of clothes you want now or would you like to come back later?"

Opelya had been in need of new a few new dresses for some time now. She was tired of the old grey wool dress which had seen far to many days in cold wet rain and mud. It was clean at the moment, but you wouldn't have been able to tell unless she told you. She walked through the door and up to the counter. Ignoring the old orc outside. "Escuse me miss. I need three dresses and one cloak. The first dress I want to be of white linen with a low neckline and long flowy sleeves, with white beads sewn down the sleeves and along the neckline. The second of silk, but the color black with the same sleeves at the first, and a small black falcon sewn on the front of the bodice. The third of normal material, the color red, a dark blood red with also a low neckline. Just plain nothing on the bodice or anything. And the cloak I want also black. Make them all smaller through the middle of the bodice and long through the waist." She was a little out of breathe when she was done, but she smiled and took out of the small pouch at her waist some crown notes. "100 crowns? Or is it alot more extra for the beading, and the stitching of the falcon? I added up 94 for everything, but I I don't know what extra."

Opelya C'apria
The young hobbit woman looked up with a sharp jerk of her neck at her newest customer. She grinned toothily. "Serale, miss! Come! Come!" She hurried out behind her counter and all but tripped over her feet in her haste to greet Opelya.
Her eyes glittered in excitement at the Opelya's requests and by the time the girl was finished, she felt just as breathless in enthusiasm. "What magnificent taste you have, my dear! No worries! I'll get it done super quick, super fast! Er . . . super quick for me would mean around a cycle . . ." she mumbled sheepishly and scratched her head with a huge smile.
The female hobbit frowned slightly at Opelya's last words and she almost cringed before speaking apologetically, "Actually . . . I believe the total amount of the dresses costs 112 crowns. With the extra decorations and stuff, it'll also be an extra 10 crowns . . . so the sum would be 122 crowns." Tapping her index fingers together, her large blue eyes darted in an alternation from the floor to Opelya's face. The woman really hated contradicting her customers. Hesitating slightly, she continued to add, "The cloak would also cost something extra. The price would depend on whether you want it with a hood or not."
The woman finished it off a small smile and shifting uneasily on her hairy feet, waited for Opelya's response.

OOC: Sorry about that. This thread COMPLETELY slipped my mind. Shoulda subscribed to it.
IC:
As Draekial watched the half-pint woman work with her tools of trade, he was rather impressed by the speed with which she went about her work. While the halfling did her measuring, Draekial stood as still as was possible, so as to allow her to work even more efficiently. But, as she began listing off the various lighter colours, Draekial's grin was wiped off of his face. What kind of a woman would suggest pink to a dracon such as himself? Perhaps she was merely joking. That's what he was hoping anyway.
"Perhaps I should go with some darker colours, although I would like two white shirts with those. I should think that perhaps two of a darker red of some kind, and possibly one green. As for leg coverings, suppose that I should get one of matching colour for each shirt purchased, but I want the most comfortable clothing possible, with your finest material, as I have already mentioned. I'm not one for style, so I would rather leave all the more minor details up to yourself."

Opelya thought for a moment. "Cloak without the hood, and the white dress without the beads. And is there anyway you could speed it up? As you can see I am wearing what looks to be almost rags. I'll pay extra if you could maybe do it in half the time?" Her face was in sort of a pained look. The money would soon be a problem if she couldn't learn to spend less. But she'd gone so long without anything nice to wear she no longer cared. She didn't want over work the sweet hobbit girl, but she really needed them faster then a cycle. "Could you maybe do the plain red one first so I could wear it, and then I could pick up the other things after the cycles up? I hate to overwork you." She had already pulled out the hundred crown note, and was waiting to hear the damage for her changes. Hopefuly it wouldn't go much over 30 crowns more.

Draekial Kadrakai
The hobbit completed her measurements quickly and she nodded at his words. "Two white shirts, two dark red, and one green one. Five respective pants. We already use high quality cotton but if you want an even better material, perhaps linen then? It won't be as hot as wool and fur." She thought for a moment, moving her fingers as if she was counting. "That'll come out to . . . 110 crowns. Please come back in a cycle or so to pick up your clothes."
She smiled briefly at Draekial before nodding at Rahkay next. "As for your uniforms, they will be personally delivered to the Prefect's Office so don't worry about that."
Opelya C'apria
The hobbit woman brightened up and nodded energetically. "Alright, cloak without a hood would be 12 crowns and since you don't want one of your dresses to have beads, the extra would go down to 5 crowns. The total would be 129 crowns. Thank you!"
The woman smiled sympathetically at Opelya's state of affairs. "Alright, no problem. I'll get the red dress done in a jiffy! I won't even charge you extra. Come back tomorrow for it . . . as for the other clothes, I'm afraid you'll have to wait until the end of the cycle for them. Would that be a problem?"
She then darted to a chair and scrambled on top of it before brandishing a measuring tape. "Now if you don't mind, can you come a bit closer so that I can take your measures?"

Opelya nodded happily take out 29 crowns and added it to the 100. She placed it all on the counter and walked over to the girl to be measured. While waiting she spoke. "Oh thank you so much! I can't wait. I'll be here early tomorrow ok? And wow your just a good seamstress." This was said because she was looking around the room looking at everything. "I think your the nicest shop keeper in all of Vortex. You look like you belong in Natura." She smiled hoping the hobbit could reach her waist even for the measuring.

Opelya C'apria
The female hobbit flushed in pleasure at Opelya's compliment. "Why, thank you, ma'am! You're much too kind! Like Natura, you say? Well, shucks, I sure do try my best . . ." She lowered her eyes bashfully before completing her measurements deftly. Thankfully, the chair was sufficient enough in making up for the differences in height and the job was done quickly.
The woman jumped off her chair, darted back to her position behind the counter, whisked the money off to its little hiding place, and jotted down Opelya's measurements in a big black book. She beamed, "Alright, all done here! Please come back tomorrow to pick up your red dress then! As for your other clothes, they'll be finished by the end of the cycle. Thank you!"

Opelya smiled back happy she had made the halfing girl happy. "Alrighty then. I'll be back tomorrow. Thanks sooo much!" She turned around and walked out of the door, beaming as bright as the sun as well.

Opelya C'apria
The next brightening, the female hobbit meticulously finished the final stitching on the dark blood red dress Opelya had ordered. After rubbing her eyes with a satisfied sigh, she quickly leaped to her feet and began wrapping up the gown in a brown package before doing the same with the hoodless cloak.
After she was done, she placed them carefully on the counter before waiting patiently for Opelya's arrival or for a new customer.

Opelya opened the door to the shop slowly, as if she were in a little pain. But if you saw her you'd think her the living dead. Dark circles surrounded her dark red eyes and her face as usual was deathly pale. She had one heck of a hangover. Never again will I touch that foul drink. She thought reaching the counter of the store. "Is this it?" She said happily picking up the blood red dress. New clothing never failed to make a girl happy.

OOC: Due to recent requests by the Tolkein Estate, please note that "hobbit" will be changed to "halfling". Since I am too lazy to go back and edit, just kindly input "halfling" in its respective position in the old posts. Thank you.
IC:
The female halfling blanched at Opelya's tired appearance and she hesitatedly nodded, "Yep! That's the one. Your cloak is also ready over there. I've wrapped up everything for you already! If there's any problem at all, please come back and see me! Thank you!"
She smiled broadly and waited to see if her customer had any other questions or requests.
