The halfling smiled pleasantly before nodding, "Well, the rest of the dresses will have to be picked up later this week . . . but otherwise, your red dress and your hoodless cloak are ready. It was a real pleasure making them for such a nice, young lady. Thank you! Have a nice brightening!"

Opelya smiled, nodded and picked up the package. "Thank you alot I'll be back in a cycle or so to see." With that she turned with her bundle and walked out of the shop.

Throughout the cycle, the halfling shopkeeper worked at a whirlwind pace. Before long, Opelya's other two dresses were completed. She briefly admired the white linen beaded dress and then the black silk gown with the embroidered falcon on the bodice.
Nodding with satisfaction, she packed them up before waiting for Opelya to make her appearance one of these brightenings.

Opelya had had a very interesting cycle and had almost forgotten about the clothing. But she remembered one day when she was just about to throw out her old dress. The thought brought color to her pale cheeks and she was very very excited about finally getting the black and white dress's. She was alreayd wearing the red one that sunny day when she walked into the shop. She had left her cloak at home because it was so nice outside. I wish spring would come. She though stepping up to the counter. "Serale miss! How are you this fine day? Are my things done yet?" She grinned.

"Serale ma'am! Your things are right here!" The halfling announced cheerfully as she brought out the package. The dresses were already neatly folded inside. Sliding it across the counter with a sunny smile, the woman's expression further brightened at the sight of that familiar red dress.
"Ah, I knew you would look beautiful in that dress!" The shopkeeper grinned proudly. "If you ever have any need of new clothes in the future, be sure to come visit me again, ma'am! I look forward to your business! Thank you!"

Opelya stared happily at the package. "Oh thank you miss I only look nice in it because you made if fit so perfectly and the color is quite amazing. Of course I'll come back to you. Always. Not a better dressmaker in all of alleria." With that she picked up the package curtsied, turned and for the second time walked out of the shop. Happier then a bird in a the morning. If their had been dances and such in Vortex she knew she would have looked wonderful in the dress's, but since there were none, much to every girl with a silken dress's shame, she would wear them anyways. She already loved the red one to death. All of this was because she'd never truly owned such beautiful things in all her life. And how said material things couldn't make you happy?

Thorolf entered the store and looked around for a few moments. For a second he felt rather fairy, standing amoung dresses and such, but it was doubtless that they clothed men as well. He studied a few of the male garmets and smiled slightly.
The men here must be no bigger than women if they can fit into that.
He looked at his own tattered clothes. His money was burning a hole in his pocket. This was how the locals made their living, plucking the pockets of weary travellers too tired to argue. The fact remained, however, that it was time to break down and get something newer to wear.
He approached the halfling at the desk.
Is it always so hot here! , he asked. To a man from the Great Mountains, the heat was so oppressive. He longed to roll in the freezeing snow of his homeland... but it would be long before he saw that again.
I am interested in purchasing a pair of brown pants and some knee length boots. Nothing fancy on either, simple contstruction... leather would be best. Something hard wearing, long lasting, and in the bottom of the price range.
Thorolf looked down at himself and gave a chuckle...
As you can see, I need the clothes sooner rather than later...

OOC: Welcome to Alleria, Thorolf! Your posts are really well written and great so far but can you please post in the Vortex City Gates before posting in the city? While Nexus Prime and Vortex are in the same United Arium Directorate, they are separate cities and you will need to present your visa each time you visit another city. Much thanks! If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
IC:
"Hot?" The halfling shopkeeper blinked blankly for a moment before nodding eagerly in response. She had long learned the importance of the maxim: the customer is always right. "Yes, of course! Boiling! Sweltering!" She quickly switched topics, eyes gleaming in delight at his requests. "Ah, we make the finest clothes in Vortex! Yes, indeed! A pair of leather pants and boots . . . well, that'll be easy to make. Are you sure you don't want a shirt with that? We make great shirts! Lovely shirts! But if you insist on just a pair of pants and boots, then that'll be 22 crowns, please." She smiled brightly.
The halfling stepped around her counter and whipped out her measuring tape quickly, craning up her neck to peer at the man. "All I need from you are some measurements and I'll get everything done by tomorrow . . . so come pick up your clothes sometime then." Her smile faltered slightly as her eyes appraised the state of Thorolf's clothes thoughtfully. "Er . . . I hope you don't mind the wait."

Thorolf smiled down at the little halfling across the counter.
Just boots and pants will be good for now. I'm sure that your shirts are excellent, but in this heat I doubt I could stand it.
He laid 22 crowns on the desk and submitted himself to the halfling to allow his measurements to be taken.
The wait is not a problem, after this long I can wait for a while longer. I shall return tomorrow for my clothes, good day.

Thorolf whistled a old tune as he walked into the clothing store the next day. His eyes shone as he walked around the store, waiting for the shopkeeper to finish with another customer. He had had a good night and had slept well. His newly purchased weapons gleamed in the sunlight that streamed through the windows. All that was left for him to do was simply pickup his clothing order and then strike off into the northlands.
After a few moments off waiting he approached the Halfling at the counter.
Serale! I have come to pick up my clothing order. I hope I am not too early?

The halfling had completed her measurements the brightening before and within the night, Thorolf's leather pants and boots were completed. Smiling dazzingly at the man, she jumped off her seat and went completely out of sight behind the counter.
After a moment of rustling, her head popped up and she stood on her tiptoes to push a carefully wrapped bundle to the man. "Here you go, sir! I hope you find them to your liking! Have a nice brightening!"

Bacde quickly approached the shop with a long and eager stride to have his fine clothes as soon as he could. Bacde had seen this shop many a time before, but it took him quite a while to actually remember it when looking for something to buy. Bacde came right to the shop, but was sure to check the sign for the prices first, with a little thinking in his head to find the cost of his purchase. Bacde came to the front, to the clerk behind the counter, to tell her head-on what he wanted.
"Serale, I would like to buy the finest silken pants and shirt that you have, and a good fur coat that matches. I want these all the darkest color you can get, and be sure that that is your best fur too." Bacde was short, he was direct, and he was blunt, but there was rarely a time he talked with more happiness in his voice, for he had no reason to hide it. "If I'm not mistaken, that should cost somewhere around 156 crowns?". Bacde was quick enough to multiply numbers in his head, especially if it had to do with budgets and money.

Amalthea grinned at the Dracon, and observed without much thought the different hues of his eyes. After remembering that staring was quite rude, she responded after a flick of her hair,
"Silk pants and a shirt. I can provide you that, and as far as the best fur; I'd say, the regal choice, ermine, would be most befitting to you. Would you like that?"
She waited for his reply and proceeded with care, for she was an agreeable halfling who, in dedication to her work, wanted to give to her customers what they wanted. "Darkest color? Well, you do know," she grinned and chuckled, "the darkest color is black. However, if you prefer a different hue but in its darkest range such as navy, I will have that color for you."
"The ermine," she continued, "or any fur you want can also be dyed to match the hue of your choice or any other color for that matter." She showed Bacde the lovely fur in its pure state. It was white and soft, and was very appealing to the Dracon. "The fur of the animal turns white in winter, and often, you will find these lovely black markings on it. It is said, an ermine would rather die than dirty it's coat."
She shook her head in agreement to the proposed price, although, in her own little, comely head, she calculated a different amount.
"And how about a nice pair of fancy boots to complete the wardrobe should you choose to make a purchase?" To the avaricious halfling, a profit was her best friend.

Bacde was extremely pleased with the service that he was getting from the clerk at the front. He listened intently to every point that the Half-ling had to offer to him before he could even think long enough to create a response. She was coaxing him into a more and more secure state, one that might let the crowns slip straight from his pocket. Bacde attempted to hold his disposition however.
"Black silk pants and shirt will do nicely" Bacde responded. "And is this your finest fur?" he asked when he saw half-ling nod. "I assume that on the sign the finest fur would cost four times what a regular jacket might cost" he said with wide eyes. He tried to make himself sound as buisinessman-like as possible, for he was truley practicing for when he might actually become one.
"No boots will be neccissary" Bacde said with a slight look of discontent on his face. This came from his thoughts, not from the half-ling offering everything she could to the potential customer. Bacde had never truley worn shoes, for they were so uncomfortable. His talons would usually never even fit inside them, and the boots never protected his feet from anything they would normally feel. Perhaps it was just something a soft-skin needed when travelling, but not Bacde.
"What will the exact cost be? Mine was really just a quick estimate" he said while flashing a smile. Perhaps he could get those 6 crowns back down to a flat-out 150 crowns.
